I am a health care professional and have worked with numerous doctors for over 12 yrs. Never have I encountered someone with such poor bedside manner. I brought my 4yr old son to see this physician and never have I been treated so rudely. He was condescending and instead of answering my question he rushed me out the door. Not to mention he has NO IDEA how to speak to a child. NONE. Instead of wasting months of your life waiting to get an appointment with this ENT doctor do yourself a favour and request someone else. The only good thing about this office was the front desk staff.

Overall very happy with this doctor. Office is efficient. He may not have much bedside manner but speaks clearly and engages.

I'm a health care professional and usually would not write a review but this doctor is terrible. His bedside manner is terrible, he is rude and rushed my 4yr old son and I put of the room. He questioned me as to why I had even brought my son in. Not to mention, he has no idea how to speak or deal with a child. My son tried to give him a sticker and he told him he didn't want it and to put it in the garbage. His front staff were very kind however. I'm very disappointed in this doctor, definitely will never go there again and would not recommend for anyone else.

Great doctor! I had a great experience at this office. He was very helpful , professional and efficient. I think people forget that this is a SPECIALIST'S office. Of course it is going to take months to get an appointment... there are only so many in Ottawa. Dont forget we get free healthcare here in Canada. There are wait times. Perhaps some of you should go to school for 15 years yourself and get your education. Diagnose yourself and your kids. Grow up.

After waiting for one year for this appointment, he entered the room with some papers in his hands and stood in front of me started explaining his diagnosis. He did not ask me any question or even touch me!
I am a health care professional and fully aware of all medical conditions and needed his second opinion after checking my sinuses.
Patients are referred to speacialists because their dr was not able to diagnose.
Now, when I read patients comments, I understand that he simply rushes everyone out of room, goes by family dr diagnosis, does not ask patients about their issues.

He is my new ENT as of this week. My Doctor referred me 5 months ago and I got in early with their cancellation list. They even sent me an email and phone call reminder a week before the appointment. He was straightforward and explained my options well to me. The appointment went well, a little uncomfortable for the camera up the snout but it's a sensitive dig for anyone. After my plan of care talk his secretary explained the surgery process and off I went. I expect to be called for surgery late summer or fall. I am counting down the days I can breathe normal again. Only thing I didn't enjoy about my visit was the white walls. Really makes you feel like you are in a Doctor's office when you wait for almost an hour... I guess they are renovating?

you are refereed to specials his job is to read the history from old doc.. matter fact Dr M Matyas he is strait forward .. i visited and he was best of the best he goes strait to actions ..i wish i can rate him more the 5...

Very disappointed. He looked at my ear and I told him my throat hurt. He said that had to wait for another visit!!!! I went to my family doctor, told him what happened, and he referred me to another doctor. I rated one because that's the lowest.

I regret not reading the reviews before going. My son had an amazing specialist in Orangeville. New to the Ottawa area I was dependent on my referral from our family doctor. Other theb being dismissive, horrible bedside manners, which has all been outlined already. My biggest complain is how he spoke to my child. He is Hig Functioning ASD. When he asked the doctor what he was going to do with a soecifi tool because he really didnt feel safe. The doctors response was "too bad kid, that is life. You dont always get to know everything." and than told us to come back in 4-5months to check again. Never! This is my sons 5th set of tubes. And there is no way I would let this man ever near my son again!
