I had been referred to Dr K MacDonald in Dec of 2023 and I found him quite friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed my problem and followed through by doing surgery on Dec 21/23. It went well and I have been referred to Dr Whitlock at the CTC for treatment. I recommend.

He has great bedside manner and seems to care and listen very well, but he has a bit of knowledge gaps when it comes to certain conditions, and maybe can suggest things like certain surgical procedures that aren't medically necessary and not the right thing to do, I later found out from another doc. He also missed diagnosing an important condition that another doctor with more experience identified. He is young and a very new doctor so I'm sure in time these things will improve....however since it's very important as a doc to have good knowledge I had to make note so others here can be aware. Do your research, and if you think you have something that he hasn't identified either ask for a second opinion or tell him that you think you might have it. But like I said, he's a really nice guy and really listens and has good bedside manner.

My experience with Dr. Macdonald was superlative. He was kind, present, and so knowledgeable. He took time to speak and listen to me. I felt I was in the presence of someone exceptional, one of those rare throwback doctors like in the days of wise country doctors, but with today's knowledge and tools. I am so very, very sorry he left Ottawa. Our loss, PEI's gain.

Dr MacDonald is very knowledgeable and helpful!
He performed surgery on our son and we can’t thank him enough for giving our son quality of life back! He was so friendly and kind during and after the surgery as well as informative leading up to surgery. I highly recommend him.

Dr Kristian MacDonald is excellent, patient, knowledgeable and very kind. Both my children were tongue tied and he didn’t question my decision as a mom and helped with correcting their tongue tie.

Let's just say the news was not the best but Dr Macdonald shared it with compassion and in simple terms. He spent time answering questions both my husband and I had and made himself available if needed for further questions.

Dr. MacDonald is always wonderful with my kids and was also very helpful with my spouse (borderline hearing loss). Performed surgery on both of my boys (one for tonsils/adenoids, the other for tubes) and it went great. Although his clinic recently moved further away from us, it is worth the drive for such a great doc. Can also provide service in French if needed! Overall A+++++++
