Dr Planet removed my child’s adenoids and tonsils at CHEO. Professional, competent, skilled. His description of recovery was bang on, and prescriptions perfect to control my little ones pain. I highly recommend Dr Planet and his team.

Although, aside from a quick look into my mouth I cannot offer a critique on Dr. Planet's medical ability, I am certainly not impressed with his staff. I made a follow-up appointment for a biopsy at The Montford Hospital. His receptionist gave me a date and I asked her to write that date on one of their business cards so as that there would be no mistake as I never miss appointments. That evening I arrived at home and gave my wife the business card with the appointment date so as to have a reference my wife could use in scheduling our joint activities. The same time I, with the card in hand, entered the date in my agenda. The date was for Monday September 11/23. I arrived early as I usually do to find out that my appointment was for the Thursday that had passed. She also mentioned that there was a charge of $120 for missing my appointment. I insisted to the receptionist that I was right because my of the way my wife and I co-ordinate appointments. Her response was "If you don't pay you don't come back." I haven't gotten back to Dr. Planet as based on what I have now read in these reviews I shouldn't have wasted my time in the first place. At this point in time all of Canada has been caught up in a medical catastrophe. There is a shortage of qualified doctors and all of them have more business than what they can handle. My experience that I have just documented seems like an excellent opportunity to capitalize on extra bucks. I know of a similar situation concerning a different doctor with similar booking complaints on her profile. These are trying times. We must all be careful in obtaining the caliber of medical help that we obtain. Reviews are a good start. Our health is the most important possession that we have. Don't place doctors on too high a pedestal. Some may be unscrupulous.

Terrible doctor. No interest in assisting patients. Did not listen to me. Told me I didn't know when my own symptoms started and that I did not have a problem. Did not do any testing. Waste of my time.

My son had nose surgery, and whenever he had questions regarding the surgery, he was very dismissive. This surgery has left him worse than he was. Very abrupt on the phone. Even hung up on my son when he asked a question. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE.

Refused to give me a copy of my hearing test.
I insisted on further exam. Got MRI.. Said there is nothing wrong
Refused to give a copy of the results, got a copy of my MRI from my doctor.
There are several problems which require further tests
EG: Liquid in the mastoid (liquid in the bone behind the ear)
Insisted I get a hearing aid from the office next door
I confronted him, as you should too.
Remember, a brute or aggressive person is always a timid and a scare person.
His entourage is devoid of luxury, hence his paltry decor. He wears a face mask and his headlight, which covers most of his face. He is afraid of you.
Hey, he's always been the same. I knew what to expect. Confirms the fact that people don't change. Be happy you are not him.

I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. He explained the problem and the procedure well so I knew what to expect. And as soon as he recognized that I still had pain after freezing was done, he immediately stopped and froze me again to make sure I was comfortable. He was efficient and quick and I saw immediate improvements.

Very unpleasant doctor who doesn't seem to care. Can't stand to be asked questions relating to problem. Repeatedly cuts you off and when he does ask you a question he is very impatient and abrupt and actually not interested in letting you answer. No compassion or empathy.

After two successful emergency surgeries in my neck, I would definitely say that Dr. Planet is extremely skilled and professional. He is very thorough and knowledgeable.
