It is now nearly three months since my hip replacement surgery and I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Moreau. Apart from being an excellent surgeon, using the anterior approach which allows for a much speedier recovery, he is also, overtly, a very caring doctor. In addition, for my 48-hour stay in the hospital post-surgery the nursing staff were all excellent. I would also highly recommend the first-class physiotherapy department at the Montfort for post-surgery recovery requirements.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Moreau and the staff at the Montfort Hospital. My surgery went extremely well for a knee replacement. Will have the next knee done soon. I was up and walking the next day using a walker; using a cane only the next week. After week 4; I am only using a cane outdoors. Do your pre op exercises given by the physio department before your surgery. I think that helped me a lot. I would highly recommend Dr. Moreau.

What an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon. Had my hip replaced 11 days ago using the anterior (frontal) method. I'm up and walking without any aids (walker or crutches). I was operated on Thursday and out the hospital the following day - some 36 hours later. Merci docteur Moreau.

I cannot speak too highly of the superb skills and talents of Dr. Moreau. He was recommended to me and more than met my expectations as a skilled surgeon who epitomized excellent interactions/communications with patients. He explained the X-rays of my osteoarthritic hips (one of which was painfully “bone on bone” and the other had lost a great deal of cartilage yet relatively pain free) and ensured that my long list of questions were all answered. In discussion of options one that I was previously unaware of was bilateral hip replacement (i.e. two together) as an alternative to the likely need for a second hip replacement after the first had healed. The thought of two consecutive one year cycles of hip deterioration, surgery and recovery was horrifying. To cut a long story short, four weeks ago I had bilateral hip surgery with excellent results. The day after surgery I walked 200 ft with a walker and relatively little pain. My excellent recovery continued over several weeks of convalescent care in a retirement home till three weeks after surgery I was able to walk with a cane. I attribute my rapid recovery and lack of pain to Dr. Moreau’s skill in using the “Anterior” surgical approach in which far less muscle is cut. Finally I must give credit to Dr. Moreau’s team and the excellent nursing care I received at Montfort hospital. I highly recommend both.

Dr Moreau performed surgery on our Mother this evening and he met with us before and after the surgery. He was sensitive to the needs of our family, generous with his time, and even drew a picture for us of the hip repair.
Very humble and inspiring surgeon!
