Dr Murphy is a kind doctor with good communication. Slow at times due to being busy. His receptionist is horrible. She is also his wife which may explain why she still has a job. She is argumentative and hostile on the phone. I had a few surgeries with him and felt at ease. The results were not great though.

So excellent Dr, horrible horrible staff. Due to the receptionist, I changed Drs. Also with no parking at the new location, it was not worth the long trip

I’m very pleased with my visit with Dr. Murphy. The last ENT I saw about my issue wrote it off and say he could only do surgery if I was sick a certain amount of times per year, completely ignoring how long it takes to recover each time I have this flare up. On my next one, I was referred to Dr. Murphy and he said let’s take them out. Thank you! Unfortunately because of COVID it will be quite a while before surgery, but hopefully I will get lucky and someone will cancel.
Dr. Murphy was very nice, funny, and knowledgeable. I feel good having him be the one to eventually do my surgery.
The receptionist was nice as well. Not rude at all.

He is the only doctor out of over 10 that would operate on me at 26 years old and turned my hearing from 50% to 80%. Without him my life wouldn't be the same. He was even humble about.

I refused to go to this clinic to treat my issues because the receptionist was extremely rude to me when I was talking to her on the phone.

Best ENT Doctor in Ottawa, and he is exceptionally caring. Receptionist is the most hostile I have ever incurred during my 75 yrs.

Diane (Blonde receptionist) has been unfriendly and snobby for years. Her tone is unprofessional and at times sarcastic. She pretends she does not see you when you arrive and stares at her computer. Similar to the comments below, the Doctor is great, the receptionist is awful. After so many complaints about this women below, I do not understand why the Doctor has not spoken to her or changed her. New location is extremely awful because there is no parking (coming from the suburbs with no parking is hard, you are forced to take a bus, or pay for parking). When you arrive, you have to call the office. If you are elderly and have no cell phone, you have to wait behind the door until someone comes out and you can go in.

The Doctor is well mannered, caring and knowledgeable.

Rudest receptionist on the planet earth. I will never go back there.
Doctor was rude as well after I moved from pain when he cleaned my ear, he told he not to come back if I was not going to listen, arrogant, rude, uncaring.

Terrible, I think he makes his real money with Botox, with the lunch time crowd. Saw him to confirm TMJ. He sent me for a cat scan, and told me my hearing was OK. Didn't even remember why he was seeing me. When I reminded him it was about my jaw, he startled and sent me for an MRI....pretty bad. I guess they get paid by how many referrals and such they can book. Oh and always made us wait, even though they are quick to charge you if you are late....Sad.

I’ve had two visits and have been absolutely impressed with the staff as well as the doctors beside manner. He listens so nicely to how you feel and attentively to your questions and concerns and works with you towards a resolution or treatment ... I feel very blessed and thankful to have been referred to Dr Murphy
