I want to thank you again, for alerting Dr. Persia that I was 3 hours early for my
appointment, and to her for adjusting her schedule to fit me in early.
As I think I mentioned, we had left home in Roberts Creek to get a bus to the ferry at 5:25am…for a 9am meeting that ended 2 hours earlier than expected (we had hoped to buy an EV but the price was so far out of reach, the meeting was cut short).
Please pass on my gratitude to Dr.Persia….thanks to her (and you) we were home in Roberts Creek by 6pm in time to make dinner,

Very punctual. Found what exactly my problem was and gave me useful tips to control the problem. Did allergy testing very fast.

After developing sudden onset anaphylaxis to so many things, I was struggling. The first allergist I saw suspected it was hormonal thanks to menopause, and prescribed allergy shots to desensitized me to trees grasses etc. The weird part was the skin test showed no reactions.
Tried to fo the allergy shots, but constant reactions meant I couldn't get past even the first bottle. And I continued to have anaphylactic reactions to foods that seemed safe. The response from first allergist was ...poor. Sought recommendations for a new one and found Dr P.
From the very first appointment I felt supported. Diagnosis was the same - suspected hormonal link, creating idiopathic anaphylaxis - BUT, Dr P wanted to rule things out before jumping to conclusions. Tests for auto immune diseases were set up, and an order for specific blood test for the next time I had anaphylaxis. Second visit after tests was a frank talk about the challenges of idiopathic allergies, and several options for trying to minimize reactions. I'm currently on 2 medications that have stopped my anaphylactic reactions, and minimized my allergic reactions to managable single system ones. But the most important thing is how well I was heard, and supported. At one point when we were talking about worst case - nothing being able to suppress reactions - I asked what would happen then. Her response was they would keep looking for options, and support me in the journey. So very different from "if you don't take these allergy shots there is nothing more I can do for you" that my first allergist said.
Dr P is brief and efficient when it's called for BUT if longer, more in depth is needed, you get that. Highly recommend.

I have had one appointment with Dr. Pourshahnazari so far and I recommend her. I have gone to two other allergists in Vancouver, both being bad experiences. But Dr. Pourshahnazari was the best. Although it was the end of the day on a Friday night, she and her staff gave me plenty of time. She addressed all of my concerns, followed up with me and my GP, treated me intelligently and with compassion. She treated me like a human being, something I didn't get from other specialists. Finally, I found someone I can continue seeing. So I'm judging from just one appointment, but I'm truly impressed.

Did my allergy testing, and correctly identified my issues. Very helpful and kind. The wait to get in was relatively short. Staff were helpful. I’ve been using the medication she recommended and I’m doing well ever since.

Can’t comment on the other negative review but I found Dr. Pourshahnazari To be professional, competent and helpful. She showed excellent knowledge of my symptoms and offered both medical and practical solutions. Highly recommend!

Dr. Persia is a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable doctor. She is always encouraging, positive and patient. Every visit she takes time to listen how I am doing and makes sure to maximize that I feel better. She is knowledgeable and thorough in her evaluation and able to continue to modify management that would be best for me. She treats the whole patient and individualizes treatment. She makes sure nothing has been missed both through asking questions, ordering tests and referring to another specialist. She goes above and beyond what I’ve ever encountered in a specialist. She tries to piece together symptoms into a coherent story to be able to treat simply yet effectively and safely. Dr. Persia helped me when no one else could and she greatly improved my quality of life. I’ve had many specialists in the past and Dr. Persia is by far the most caring and kind doctor and I feel fortunate to be under her care. I highly recommended Dr. Persia. Her office staff are wonderful, super organized and work so hard to accommodate patients and are always cheerful and kind. Just the best office all around! Thanks!

The staff at the clinic is friendly and nice, although I was disappointed that it took them more than 2 months to book me in for a follow up after they received a referral from my GP. I would have appreciated a much more timely response.

Dr. Pourshahnazari gave excellent care. She listened, tested and figured out the mysterious allergies that I have had for decades. She answered all of my questions, made sure that I was well informed and gave me the information that I needed to make decisions on treatment.

Honestly, "meh". Not the best listener: made quick assumptions and was very cut and dry. Her report was had factual errors in it (hence the poor listening skills). Was a bit condescending. Otherwise fine if all you need is skin testing.
