New in town. I phoned this clinic before their opening time and left a message to say that I was experiencing cardiac arrhythmia/atrial fibrillation and would be there when they opened. I mistook the address so was there 10 minutes later than planned, and there were already several people waiting. Two receptionists looked blankly at me and were unconcerned that they either hadn't picked up messages, or that they couldn't remember hearing mine. Apparently phoning and leaving a message for an urgent appointment doesn't work. Well, dear reader, I expressed some surprise over this, and I think they took exception. They registered me, asking me no details about and showing no interest in my atrial fibrillation, and then I waited. Everyone already waiting was seen. Then a man who came in after me was seen. It's now 40 minutes. Then another man who came in after me was sent in. So I approached the desk and pointed this out, to be told with a smug firm smile that that man had come in before me and gone away again and now was back, and I would be next, but that if it was that urgent I should go to the hospital. No mention of my phoned-in appointment. I said, "Do you know what cardiac arrhythmia is?" At which point a man on his way out the door said, "You have cardiac arrhythmia? This is urgent. She should be seen at once." So then they woke a bit and the doctor saw me. He took pulse and BP but no ECG, examined my meds, did not read my cardiologist's notes, told me that they couldn't cardiovert me at the clinic, but as I was a bit stabilized now he wouldn't call an ambulance and I should go to Emergency at the hospital if it continued. He was fine, I think, except for the failure to do an ECG--but maybe they don't have ECG equipment either. Next time I won't bother with this clinic for anything heart-related. Or indeed anything at all serious.
New to the neighbourhood. My OB was out of office I had a maternity issue. I was in and out in less than an hour and found Dr. Wong to be a perfect combination of thorough + efficient. I will not hesitate to go back in the future.
Dr. Rezvani is very professional , knowledgeable and respectful. very nice receptionist and clean clinic. You will be seen as walk in patients so fast. They will let you know if it may takes time to see doctors, so we can come back. I recommend this clinic doctors working there. I will go more there.
Dr. Hassam is incompetent, doesn't actively listen, doesn't ever follow up on his admin staff who neglect to follow up on urgent life threatening medical referrals in a system with long line ups. Mainland clinic around the corner in Yaletown is far more professional with good front office staff and the doctors over there listen to their patients actively.
