If I could give Dr Carli 10 stars I would. I had a very complicated hip replacement in May 2017 and Dr Carli was an absolute gem from our very first meeting until my recent appointment to be cleared to return to work. He and his staff are exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait to see him for an appointment but I don't mind a bit as I know he is taking his time with the patient before me just as he will when I get my turn. He is patient answering my many questions and acts as if he has all the time in the world to reassure me about the procedure and advise me of any complications etc.
I would recommend Dr Carli to anyone who is needing a hip replacement. He is so calm and immediately puts his patients at ease. We are lucky to have Dr Carli and the wonderful staff at the Ottawa Hospital!

We wanted to post another thank you note to Dr. Carli and his team for once again taking such great care of my husband. He had his right hip replaced back in October 2016 and in March 2017 he had his left hip replaced. Dr. Carli and his team are the best of the very best. Dr. Carli still makes those night before phone calls to reassure both his patient and the spouse that he is confident everything is well in hand and to answer any last minute questions. His bed side manner is second to none and post surgery follow-up is excellent. Again, we couldn't ask for a better doctor or team and feel very blessed to have him as a doctor and even more so that he is here in Canada repairing us one hip at a time. Thank you again for all you have done for my husband and family.

I had my knee replaced in January 2017. Dr Carli and his team ensured every question was answered and took whatever time was needed with you personally. The knee works great, we were up and around on it without a cane in slightly over a week! After 6 months the scarring is almost invisible. Mobility is excellent. Just be sure to follow his instructions for your excercise routine!

One of the best, most well informed and patient physicians I have ever had the pleasure of going to. However, expect to wait 1-2 hours. He gives the patient all the time he/she need to ask questions, look you straight in the eye when he speaks to you, and, when you sum it up, a wonderful man. Walk, do not run, to him.

Dr Carli did a wonderful job helping me through the entire hip replacement process. After close to three years of living with pain, Dr Carli recognized the need to proceed with surgery soon rather than later. For that I am grateful. The phone call the evening prior to the surgery helped to put my mind at ease. The surgical team, as they readied the operating theatre, was impressive. The only downside was that I felt a little lost once I got home and was on my own. However, after a full two months I am thrilled at the results thanks to Dr Carli and his team.

i had a total hip replacement done on mar 30 2017. Dr. Carli did an incredible job firstly explaining the hole proceedure, calling me the night before the surgery assuring me that he and his staff were totally prepared and ready. The day of the surgery everything went according to plan and i was in and out of the operating room without any complications. Dr. Carli then did a follow up phone call to my wife advising her all had gone well and that she could be back at the hospital by 2 p.m. The surgery was done at the general and much to my amazement i was in and out on the same day. I was walking without assistance within a
week. It has now been 2 months and i am enjoying a painfree golf game. If there is ever a need for me to replace my other hip Dr Carli is my man. I am so satified with every aspect of this proceedure, from our first encounter to my follow up, i felt very cared for. Thank you Dr Carli for doing such a great job.

Got a total knee replacement in March and must say that I was totally satisfied and blessed to have such a great surgeon.. He skills were amazing and took the time to explain the entire procedure and prepared me for what was ahead.. Within 2 weeks I was walking on my own with a little help of a walker... It has now been 5 weeks and doing great without the walker... I followed his instuctions to a "T" and now I am almost fully recovered... Thank you Dr. Carli for your special gift and your wonderful charm, your professional manner and for making feel special and not just a number.. If ever I need to get the other knee replaced it will be no one else other than Dr. Carli..many thanks again...

Fell down the stairs and broke my food in 3 places. I was very apprehensive about going to the hospital but was relieved when Dr. Carli took charge of my case and made me feel at ease. He's probably the nicest and most knowledgeable Doctor I've ever had. If you end up with him as your surgeon, consider yourself lucky.

I had a full knee replacement done at the end of February. The damage to my knee gave my leg an odd bend to it, but the leg is now completely straight thanks to Dr. Carli. He is an extremely knowledgeable and efficient surgeon who took his time with the surgery in order to get it right. Furthermore, he explained what was going to happen in a professional and caring manner. In fact, he later called my wife to give her a brief rundown on how the procedure went, for which she was very grateful. If you are surgeon shopping, I would highly recommend Dr. Carli.
