He treated me like I was his only patient. He listened, cared, examined and operated on my knee.
He’s the only surgeon I trust.

Operated on me 19 years ago. Worst bedside manner you can possibly encounter.
Through poor hygiene, he caused a bad infection that I almost died from.
Worst care possible after encountering this extra challenge.
Some days I can barely walk due to the poor standard of care.
Avoid him amd his poor care at all cost!!!

I was referred to him by one of his colleagues in the clinic who does not do surgeries but does the initial assessment. Front desk told me that his schedule is full and they will call me when there is an opening. I tried asking for an appointment, but was told that they will contact me. Never heard from them (now it is 11months). Very unprofessional! It may be a failure of the admin staff and not necessarily the doctor, but the doctor is ultimately responsible for the care that is offered and when there is none, it is on the doctor. He can wash his hands with whoever wants in his team, but to leave somebody with torn meniscus without care is.... I leave it to you to decide what that is. I can only say that it does not meet the standard of care a doctor is supposed to provide and if I had the time and desire, this should have gone to the college of physicians and surgeons.

Very rude and unhelpful. Had no interest in my well-being or understanding my condition. Disrespectful and condescending. I would never trust my health to this guy.

I am 64 years old. Dr. Wilkinson did surgery on my meniscus in March. It was a long recovery because of my age, but now, December, I can run again, which for me, is akin to being let out of the prison of my own body. I will be forever thankful to Dr. Wilkinson. His work has allowed me have a new lease on life. I've been running since I was 12 and am still "in the saddle". Yay!!

I had a meniscus tear fixed 2 years ago - quick, easy recovery. Surgery in early March, by late August I was literally climbing mountains (with the OK of my physiotherapist)! Its been all good since then. Highly recommend Dr Wilkinson.

It's been 4.5 months now, and ready to provide final summary. My experience would suggest that the Dr. is right if he is reluctant to perform meniscous surgery on older patients. I have had a very long recovery period, and still not sure about knee. I had no pain on outside of knee, but now have nasty recurring pain there. I am a long time downhill skier, but now, may have to retire or get fitted with a brace, which, just is not my style. Think twice about getting a meniscous surgery done by this Doctor, if you are an older person.

After just undergone ACL reconstruction surgery I could not be more thrilled with the results and state of my knee. Firstly, Dr Wilkinson is extremely knowledgeable and almost all reviews confirm that and he does make sure that you understand the nature of the surgery, the risks and what to expect before, during and after surgery. Although some feel his delivery or manner in communicating an issue, I however, do not share those sentiments.
My whole experience with Dr Wilkinson, his staff as well as the staff at Riverside Hospital has extremely positive. Once I left the hospital I didn't need any painkillers, I was no longer in need of crutches after 4 days and even my physiotherapist was beyond impressed with my progress 3 days after surgery, and although I am in relatively good shape, I feel this to be more due to Dr Wilkinson's expertise. I will comment on the one review where the individual commented on an infection he contracted, I think this is unfair to blame the surgeon as there could be a host of reasons how and where an infection was contracted. In addition in the literature provided by Dr Wilkinson, it clearly states that with any surgery there is the possibility of infection. If you've been fortunate to have been referred to Dr Wilkinson, put your mind at ease as you are in great hands!
