Worst medical experience of my life! Horrid man. I was forced to see him by my insurance company (I'm on a stress leave) - knowing that he is the type of psychiatrist who does not listen to his patients, just pushes pills or farms them out to "group therapy" with 20-something occupational therapists. He did an Independent Medical Exam (IME) at a cost of $3,000.00 to my work. In the 75 minute appointment, he asked me questions that clearly showed he had not paid ANY attention to my previous comments, he seemed often confused, and he LIED in the report. He put phrases and sentences in quotation marks - indicating things I HAD SAID WHEN I HAD SAID NO SUCH THINGS!!!! He merged differing situations I had said into single situations and then quoted conclusions that were fictitious. Hope he had a nice time in Hawaii on the 3 K. I won't swear in print or with words, but I'll admit to it inside my head. Creep, horrid, scandalous, greedy, uncaring, even unethical. RUN WITH YOUR LIFE!!! (Can't give lower than 1 star - or the rating won't post.)

If you suffer from mental health issues don't expect the staff to be understanding if you can't make it to an appointment.

You will walk into the office and meet the very rude snotty receptionists then Dr Gendermann will call you in and not even care to listen to you . He will make you feel guilty about your problems then push you out the door with some pills . Honestly there are much better then this clown .

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gendemann for over 5 years now. He is a caring and compassionate Dr. He not only cares about my health, but also about how my mental health affects my work and personal life. He has been extremely supportive with a work issue I had, and he is always there when I need him. I would highly recommend him and his staff is kind and helpful when I explain my circumstances If I need to get into see him sooner. The only complaint I would have is that the reception hours are only on Mon, Tues & Wed from 10-12. Which is very difficult at times to phone and get through for an appointment.

I saw Dr. Gendemann back in July. I liked him very much and found him quite helpful. His staff however, were not. The lady that called me with my appointmet was very rude and abrubt and the reception at his Northgate clinic were rude also. I wish this nice doctor had better represientation as this makes him look bad.

Dr. Gendemann has been very helpful for me. He totally supported me while applying for CPPD and AISH. I highly recommend him.

I had my own negative experience with him years ago and luckily found someone less authoritarian / more useful. My impression after perpetually hearing the same from current and former patients is he does more harm than good.

My experience with Dr. Gendamenn has been a positive one. He is not a counsellor and will not spend a lot of time. He knows his stuff and I was really impressed by the way he told me in detail why he was putting me on certain medications and what the physiological reasons are and how quickly everything should start to work. Any questions I had he answered them so that I fullly understood what to expect. He always told me to call if I felt I was feeling worse. He was compassionate, kind and helpful. If you actually want to be helped and want to follow his instructions then he is fantastic. He is short and to the point but I believe he also knows what he is doing since he has been a psychiatrist for many many years.
