Dr. Chrenek is an incredible psychiatrist! I was diagnosed with schizophrenia nearly 10 years ago and I struggled with substance abuse. Dr.Chrenek helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now I live in Victoria and recently completed a post degree diploma in Mental Health and Addictions and I now use my lived experience to help others struggling. I’m in a place I never thought was possible and I have Dr.Chrenek to thank.

Dr. Chrenek has been one of the most pivotal people in my life. I have been seeing him since he was a resident at MacEwan. My depression is treatment-resistant, and I’ve felt like giving up many times because I feel unfixable. He always has something else we can try, and a positive, compassionate, listening ear that is so, so comforting when I’m at my lowest. Every medical professional I see that knows Dr Chrenek always remarks on his knowledge and compassion: ‘I know who I would want as my psychiatrist’ I’ve heard multiple times from colleagues of his. He also is really up-to-date and current with research, and is willing to try novel things that other psychiatrists have not been. He is the reason I am still here today. I hope nothing but good things come his way, he’s a stellar human and an amazing doctor. I know I’m lucky to be a patient of his, as I’ve heard so many horror stories from other psychiatrists, and have a few of my own prior to being in his care. It feels like no matter what life throws at me, I know Dr Chrenek will help my moods and find a way out. A blessing, truly.

I've been seeing Dr Chrenek for over 5 years. He saved my life. Recently, 2 months ago today, my mother passed away. At the end of May my family dr moved away, some of the medications I'm on are triplicates, Dr Chrenek has assisted me with all of my prescriptions right now. Once I find a new GP, I assume, that person will again take over my medication except my bipolar ones. Dr Chrenek has always been professional and kind. I would be lost without him. I highly recommend him above anyone else.

I’m lucky to have him as a psychiatrist. Ever since he diagnosed me with bipolar, everything made so much sense and I got the help I need. He’s a really easygoing and caring doctor and he deserves all the praise he gets. I usually don’t trust or like doctors, but he is one of the expections.

Dr. Chrenek is a fantastic psychiatrist, he’s the only doctor who’s been able to help me improve my quality of life. He’s gotten me on the right medications and my life has improved immensely, I’ve been seeing him over a year now and I can’t rave enough.
