My psychiatrist retired and he suggested a few psychiatrists and I chose Dr LAFrance. She is highly educated and relatable. Dr LAFrance asks questions so that you can explore your feelings Since our first discussion, I have felt that she understood me and my issues. We have open discussions about many different topics . She has made me feel safe . She has guided me on my next steps . I look forward to our bimonthly visits virtually. Thank you for listening and understanding.

My child was incorrecrly diagnosed with OCD in 15 min, that how long the first appointment lasted with Lafrance. Now I know that the first appointment should be an interview for at least one hour!
She was not following up on prescription... every time for refill I needed to call her office to hear that she is away and I needed to contact mental health care clinic for guidance.
One year later she said that if I want I can book an appointment for 30 min, not 15!!! Anyway, going through this with her I asked pediatrician for different psychiatrists referral.
Starting seeing different doctor who diagnosed my child with adhd and took proper care, I was shocked how Lafrance has an access to children- very unprofessional- the way she treated my child, the way she followed up and talk to me blaming of being a bad parent For me it was a moment of realization that something is wrong when I meet a parent who shared with me about her son's treatment by a different psychiatrist.
For parent who read this and is struggling with Lafrance care - meet other parents who's kids see a different doctor. That the best you can do for your child!

She is such a genuine and soft spoken person who is having great knowledge. Highly recommended if you are looking for some who will listen up your problem and solve in most genuine way.

Dr. Lafrance has been an amazing help to me as a young, Black woman who has experienced a lot of trauma since childhood. She offers a unique skill set and deep knowledge that has helped me tackle my issues from an emotional standpoint and a practical one. She is honest and direct while also being incredibly compassionate and empathetic. I feel safe and heard talking to her, and most importantly, I trust her. She has helped me feel more empowered, strong and capable; I have reached career and personal goals that I thought impossible before now. In less than a year of treatment, I feel like I have direction and purpose in my life for the first time, mainly due to Dr. Lafrance's treatment and guidance. I am so grateful, and I can't recommend her enough (especially if you are a young woman of colour).

Dr LaFrance has been incredible for my female-related concerns. She has a rare combination of skills I never thought I'd find in a psychiatrist: She is knowledgeable, supportive, constructive, collaborative, and relatable, all within an evidence-based framework. Most importantly to me, I appreciate her ability to help me identify the root cause of an issue so I can address it straight on. She is the one you go to when you're ready to make change.

I am writing this review for this amazing physician as I cannot sing her praises enough after five years under her excellent care. Both of my daughters are patients of Dr. Lafrance and have thrived since being referred to her. Allow me to explain:

After years of tirelessly fighting with the system for appropriate care for my daughter's healthcare needs related to pediatric obesity and mental health issues, we were referred to Dr. Lafrance. After years of fruitless advocacy, I was wary of yet another referral to another doctor that I assumed would do nothing more than watch my daughters decline socially, emotionally and physically. I soon realized after our first appointment that this was not to be the case. For the first time in years, I felt "heard." For the first time in years, someone was acting on my concerns!
Dr. Lafrance has provided safe, holistic and family-centered care to my family consistently. She addresses our concerns with compassion, professionalism and current best practice knowledge.
She collaborates with other healthcare professionals and hospitals to provide the most robust care.
In our multiple appointments with her over the years, we have never had to wait for a scheduled appointment and she takes the time to really listen to the concerns of both myself and my girls while we are there. I have never left an appointment not feeling 100% confident moving forward in treatment.
As a healthcare professional, myself, I can confidently say that my daughters would not have received the care that they have without Dr. Lafrance's tireless advocacy.

Our experience with this physician and her clinic have been nothing but positive in all regards.

I question the validity of the reviews here. Lafrance is quick to prescribe and gets hostile when you ask questions. Our child has been seeing her for 4 years and our average appointment time is 6 minutes. I feel that she should spend more time with us to properly assess our child.

Dr LaFrance is NOTHING short of amazing! Our daughter had seen her for a few years. Her health and medical needs are complex in many aspects. Dr LaFrance has demonstrated great skill, confidence, competence and goes beyond call of duty to make a difference in the quality of life for our child. We can say we (she) would not be effectively managed and supported) today if not for her. Our appreciation for her understanding of our daughter's entire health and complexity, excellent bedside manner, communication and incredible caring cannot be easily stated, but is certainly REAL! Our many thanks for our ongoing opportunity to receive care from such an expert and superb doctor as Dr LaFrance! Highly recommended. :)

We were referred to Dr. Lafrance as my daughter has some pretty complex health problems, along with behavior issues. After the first visit, I left the office in tears, happy tears, because for the first time, I felt like she would be the first doc to really help us. My daughter has seen a variety of psychologists since she's been 5 years old. This is the first time we have worked with a psychiatrist, and I am confident that we are in extremely good hands. Dr. Lafrance is knowledgeable, confident and very skilled at what she does. She always takes time to listen to our concerns and only prescribes medications (in low doses) as needed. I would highly recommend her!
