With his colourful shirts and quirky sense of humour, just seeing him makes you feel better. Incredibly compassionate and understanding and extremely knowledgeable in all areas (even outside his specialty). Will not hesitate to intervene on your behalf with insurance companies or WCB when necessary!

Seen as my 2nd opinion on the Multi-disciplinary Team of the Pain Clinic at the U of A Hospital. Immediately strives to develop rapport with patient. Whereas other specialists on the Pain Clinic Team could stand to improve the way they treat their patients, Dr. Sanderman leads by example. Very easy to get along with. As a chronic pain patient, he is the one doctor I can count on making me 'feel' better about the situation, even if it hasn't improved. One of VERY FEW who made me feel he was putting a sincere effort forward to understand, and presented concern about patient outcome and perception.

great doctor! willing to help you through anything, i met him through the pain clinic at the U of A he's not only a psychiatrist but he helps people with pain. ie cancer pain, migraines and headaches Etc. like i said though he's not only a good doc but a nice guy, which makes pain just a litlle easier to take.
