Wish there is a zero star option. An attitude that she is superior to everyone. Left her office with lots of unanswered questions.

Dr. Tsai changed my life as an active adult. I've had mild asthma since I was a kid and I was sick a lot with pneumonia and bronchitis. My hands were riddle with eczema as well.
I've always been an active adult - i do kicknoxing, softball, barre fitness and spin classes. However, in the winter I would become so ill that I could hardly breathe. every time I was to get sick it would turn into a huge week long ordeal where I would be frantically looking to refill my puffers.

I was never someone who took Symbacort every day. In fact, I was scared of the fact of taking a medication every day. I was resistant to believing that I actually had any issue.

I went to my family doctor and told her about my concerns about getting sick so often and she told me to go see Dr. Tsai. I went through a lot of breathing tests with her and at the end - she actually said "it took a while to convince you, but you do have asthma..." haha!

Fast forward a year, I now take symbacort twice a day in the morning and twice a day at night. I don't get sick very often and if I DO get sick?! I'm not as worried about not being able to breathe.

my lung capacity has increased immensely. I still do my workouts but they're actually easier and I'm getting stronger every day and my lungs are getting stronger every day.

i'm still a little hesitant about being on a medication, but it really has helped me! My asthma does get a little worse when it's spring time and there are more allergens and pollen floating around, but i guess the next step for me would be to get the allergy shots. That would probably help me even more! But, for now I'm happy with my doses of Symbicort.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Tsai. I've been having a range of allergy-like symptoms since my arrival to Canada (over a year ago) and I've been suffering a lot with severe skin rashes all over my body and swelling of my eyes, making me unable to even function in my daily life. Since the walk-in clinic I visited several times just sent me away saying I had eczema (which I've had for my whole life and I can tell this is NOT it), I was very hopeful to finally see an allergist. At my first and only visit I begged her to do all the testing possible just so I could finally find out what causes this severe reaction. She did a basic scratch test. It came back all negative, so she just sent me on my way, recommending over the counter antihistamines and steroid creams (nothing new under the sun). She also told me if the symptoms persist, to come back a year or two later and we can do the testing again. Until then I guess I'm just supposed to survive somehow. She referred me to a dermatologist, but did not bother to send the referral for 2 MONTHS! after my visit (that's how long it took for her to finish my medical report from an allergy testing that did not show anything...and I had to chase it). Of course the wait times to see a specialist are crazy here, so I ended up having to wait 6 months between the allergist and dermatologist. This is coming from someone who has to deal with unbearable itching often unable to sleep and is ashamed to go in public because of her skin. Oh and guess what, a month ago I started to sneeze and blow my nose all day, every day, without any other flu/cold symptoms, which is DEFINITELY allergies. I don't feel like she cares about me for sure. Seeing her was a waste of time.
