Throughout my time under Dr. Costain's care, I witnessed his genuine concern not only for my physical well-being but also for my overall comfort and peace of mind. Dr. Costain exemplifies these qualities in a truly extraordinary manner. The wait times at the Ottawa Hospital were painful but that's the reality of the current situation in Canada.

Dr. Costain treated me in the emergency room at the Civic. I can honestly say that he is one of the most compassionate doctors I have yet to meet.
He was very kind and put me at ease in no time.

Seen overnight at the Civic Hospital. Dr. Costain was calm and polite as others have mentioned. He diagnosed my problem (thrush) and quickly arranged for my discharge from the hospital. What impressed me most was his calm demeanour when dealing with a very upset young man in the hallway. I suspect that the young man had cognitive issues and mental health issues. Dr. Costain spoke gently and kindly with him and offered his hand to guide him back into a room so that "he could help". No yelling and no rushing, it all seemed very zen and it quickly calmed the other people also observing the whole situation unfold.
