Mr. Thong - I cannot even call him a DR. As an ENT saw a patient for over 3 months and actually referred them to an actual DR. who saw that this patient had cancer in a single glance. Thong is more interested in his hole-in-one plaque at Shaughnessy. It would be nice not have to give any star. Absolute joke.

Receptionist doesn't pick up the phone. I was unable to make my original appointment due to work travel and I literally called about 20 times over multiple weeks to try to reschedule without any luck. I was finally able to get in contact with the clinic when they called to say that I had missed my appointment.

On the day of my appointment the doctor arrived to the office at 9:07am. I was scheduled for a 9:00am appointment. Everything checked out from his perspective and I was told to discuss my issues with my dentist.

The effort put in to get this appointment was not worth my time.

I can’t believe this man is allowed to practice medicine. He was so rude, condescending and arrogant. AND, he doesn’t seem to know what he’s talking about. “You have to convince me that you are sick. You have to prove it”, he said. What????? I’m hear because other doctors have referred me for my condition!! I have never seen anything like it. He doesn’t seem to understand that he is just a human being like the rest of us, no better. How dare he treat people the way he does. You go in there feeling physically ill and he reduces you to tears for doing so. When I read these other reviews, I can’t believe he is still practicing. I’m filing a complaint with the College of Physicians. This has to STOP!!!!!

Two words to describe Dr. Thong are 'old and grumpy'. I read his negative reviews so I was concerned however other ENT were not available soon so gave him a benefit of doubt and kept his appt. He is not patient and very easily irritable. He will not listen to your medical history often cutting you off with his irritated stares. He also commented that my family doctor doesn't know his stuff and was wrong for booking me to see ENT, shaking his head. He took me to the second room to see my throat with an endoscope, which was just hand washed with only water in a sink quickly from the previous patient's use and pushed it through my nose. I was thinking how sanitary this is...I don't want to catch other patients virus or bacteria. He was not helpful. My throat problem persists so I am going to see another ENT. His receptionist however was nice without any issue.

Rude & unprofessional. Wouldn’t listen to me, kept interrupting & completely disregardedquestions. Saw him a couple times, so it was not an off day, it is just how he is. Kept being condescending, & telling me I have allergies & that all my other drs were wrong. Do yourself a favour, find a better dr.

Dr. Thong was nothing but courteous and kind. He sought to put me at ease and was very knowledgeable. I was seen in a timely manner. His receptions was very helpful. My problem was diagnosed immediately and I left feeling very reassured.

So rude. So condescending. After I provided about three concise sentences of relevant medical history he cut me off to say I was “confusing” him. Books multiple non-emergency appointments for the same time so waiting is inevitable. But hey, he got a few holes in one at Shaughnessy golf course!!!!! So if you need a golfer instead of a compassionate healer, maybe he’s your guy?

The WORST experience i have ever had with a doctor. i went with my daughter who had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He told us he was too busy to call our clinic to have them re-fax test results...(he only had the first page). when i asked him a question he "shusshed" me - after doing that a few times he then looked at me and asked if i needed to wait outside. his manner was condescending, arrogant and rude. it was a waste of time, there is no way he will be doing the surgery. when we went back to our doctor he apologised and said he referred him as he was the only surgeon available (now we know why) he also mentioned that the test results were faxed twice - the receptionist called him and asked him to resend as she had a large pile of faxes and didn't want to have to go through the pile to find the first one.

Excellent doctor. Good staff. Waiting time is expected for caring doctors that take emergencies.
