I personally feel lucky to have found Dr Drake, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate psychiatrist. It's not easy finding a psychiatrist in Sydney right now. He's incredibly approachable and understanding. The reception team responded to my emails quickly too.

I felt like I was not heard at all. This was purely checklist consulting. I was trying new medication constantly and I understand that you need to get the right balance but there was absolutely no care taken. No care for the consequences. The last consultation Ty was more concerned about getting off the 5 minute bulk billed phone consultation than my questions. I am absolutely traumatised by my treatment. Do not waste your time or money with psychiatrists especially this one.

Dr Ty Drake was excellent, he is very friendly and approachable as well as being knowledgeable. I often get very bad anxiety when seeing new Drs but as soon as our appointment started I felt relaxed and as though he genuinely cared about my concerns.

He helped me apply for NDIS which has been life changing - I now see a psychologist and exercise physiologist and some other services and they’re all covered with the NDIS.

I’ve been seeing another psychiatrist for 10 years and decided to make a change as I felt I was making no further progress. I found Dr Drake online and read good reviews. I felt comfortable speaking to him. He was not judgemental or rude. I had a lot in my history (ADHD, CPTSD, MDD) and he tried to put it all together as much as humanely possible in 50-60 minutes. He wrote a letter back to my GP and gave a lot of information and handouts. I don’t think my GP ever got any letter from my old psychiatrist. I’ll definitely be going back and already booked a follow up appointment.
