One of the best! We love Dr Toula, tells it as it is, no beating around the bush. My son has been under her care for a long time, and the time has come for us to transition to an adult psychiatrist, how I’m going to miss this wonderful woman, and how lovely to be in the waiting room with the lovely Julie, always up for a giggle.

We have found Dr Tula to be diligent, selnsible and responsive to emails outside of consultations, whihc makes such a big difference when you ahve quetsions about your child.

Our child has been treated by Dr Toula Tsovolos for over 10 years. He is a complex, high functioning autistic boy with high anxiety, prone to deep, dark, depressive periods and it has been a long and torturous road both for him and for our family. Dr Tsovolos is personable and compassionate as well as professionally competent and very up to date with her knowledge. We owe her a debt of gratitude for helping our son and us through some very challenging times.

After 2 harrowing years of COVID, a further horrible post COVID year then a further 2 years of the HSC, our wonderful son is graduating from Central Paediatrics and we couldn’t be more grateful to all the staff and Toula. They were all life savers during our darkest times. Our son has a complex presentation with ASD, ADHD and Gender Dysphoria. He was bullied relentlessly at school and almost left school. Toula was very supportive with him and also us, but also very firm in setting clear expectations and boundaries about completing his education and he rose to the challenge. Our son engaged well in the talking therapies and we were able to avoid using medications. He has a university pathway carved out ahead which did not seem possible. I work in mental health and would classify Toula as a reluctant prescriber, with meds as a last resort. This suited our family. It may not suit everyone. Forever grateful to this entire Practice for their diligence and care. Special mention to the cheeky Julie at the front desk who brightens everyone’s day with a grin and who is always up for a good story and a joke.

I’m in my early 30s now and have wanted to write something here in a long while. My experience was very positive with Dr Toula. I was an angry teenager with warring parents and we all used her as our punching bag at various times. She remained stoic and kind throughout, despite our family tantrums. It must be a crappy job as you’re dealing with everyone’s sh***y feelings and there’s no panacea when stress levels are high. Just wanted to apologise for being a torturous teen Dr Toula and thank you for hanging in there. *Give Time, time* was true. Wishing kindness back to you.

Our son attended with my wife for many years, I accompanied him on 3 occasions .
And made it know that the psychotropic medications were not gaining any benefit and left him unable to restrain inhibitions of anger and acting out with both the high and the lows.
Each report managed to give me a mention of the disapproval I once exppressed,she had to have a dig at me because I didnt agree.
Ten months ago He stopped taking medication after reading side effects , next few months coming off the medication were very challenging.
Now he's lost a lot of weight caused by over eating due to low self control, he has himself made study a thing of importance and continues with his self improvement .
Toula everything you said has been wrong
