Not familiar with common symptoms of my condition. Stated certain things during appointment but submitted notes stating very different conclusions and recommendations. They even wrote that I insisted on going back to see him when he recommended an alternative. This is as far from the truth as possible. One of the most frustrating consults I have been to and I have seen many doctors. Intern tortured me with a test for over 16 minutes that he repeated, and it took just over 1 minute. The intern should not have been allowed to persist for so long, knowing full well that it was causing me extreme pain. It took me 3 days to recover from the appointment. I refuse to go back, so the written note that I insisted on seeing him again was particularly insulting and ridiculous. Barring an emergency, I prefer to never deal with him or his intern ever again. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of choice for Neuro-Opthimology in Ottawa. I don't know if I caught him and his team on a very bad day (given the number of positive reviews), but it was a definitely bad enough that I informed his office that I would absolutely not be going back. I have only ever had to do something that extreme once before and like I said, I have seen many doctors from a wide variety of specializations.

WOW! My visit was started with being told, " We are here to understand the complications of your illness." WOW! This was the first time in over 4 years I was listened to and allowed to ask questions instead of just answering with yes or no as instructed by other docs. Add their passion and I am a BIG fan of this doc and his collegues.

Doctor Lelli and his team treated me at the Ottawa Civic in August 2022. He was very knowledgeable, kind, explained everything in detail and diagnosed me with Lymes disease and got me on the road to recovery quickly. Wonderful doctor! Made me feel so at ease!

Excellent neurologist. Very knowledgeable. Listens to your concerns, explains his recommended treatment and options, and involves you in the decision making. Follows up with phone consultations.

Have to go all the way back to 2016. Dr. Lelli was my follow-up cardio physician from my massive stroke. Very practical, sensible and personable Doc. Got me out of the hospital within 30 hrs of being admitted with a massive stroke. Bless precious Dr. Lum who did the procedure. Ottawa lost a Cardio genius when Dr. Lum passed away. ‘
Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to Dr. Lum, Dr. Lelli and all that attended/cared for me that day.
