Dr.Klurfan did my surgery back in May of 2014, she was truthful about what had to be done and what to expect after surgery. After the surgery she told me that it was to dangerous to remove all the tumor but, I would be closely monitored with MRI's every three months, then 6 months, then yearly. All is still good, the tumor has not grown after ten years. I would like to thank Dr.Whitton my Oncologist and all the staff at Hamilton General and the Juravinski hospital and staff. 5 stars

Is Dr. Klurfan still in Hamilton? I can't find her, not even on the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons website? She is the best neurosurgeon. She operated on my daughter 6 years ago, and she is needing help again.

An all around excellent surgeon. Dr.Klurfan did my surgery back in 2014. What I liked best was her truthfulness about what was done, what could not be done and what to possibly expect in the future. Great follow ups

She was extremely professional and performed my brain surgery with no incidences. I was admitted via ER and was dealt with immediately resulting in emergency surgery for my anyerisum which was a double clipping. She saved my life !

Arrogant, neglectful. She jumped to conclusions she wanted. Nothing to do with science. Very arbitrary. Does not properly attend to patients outside of surgery. Thinks she is smarter than she actually is. Inflexible mental approach.

I had an appointment scheduled with her on Feb 24/15 which I had waited 10 months for and then I show up and nobody informed me that she was away that day. I had another appointment rescheduled for March 24/15 and when I phoned on March 23/15 to find out if she would be there the next day, I was then informed she would be away again.. I would of shown up for the second time and taken another day off work for nothing because nobody informed me she would not be there. I was really looking forward to finally getting some answers after meeting with her and finding out an option for this pain. I would like to have kids and I have been waiting until this issue was resolved due to this pain in my back.

So to find out once again I will not be meeting with her is very frustrating and upsetting. I could have been referred to somebody else in the meantime and gotten some answers to help me.

I just hope she can learn how to communicate with her patients in regards to their appointments and when she cannot make them and have them rescheduled beforehand.

Dr Paula Klurfan ended up doing my 3rd surgery as the dr on call. I'm am thankful that my regular surgery got bumped 3 times and my regular Dr didn't have OR time and Paula ended up doing my surgery. my condition is where i have 2 cysts on my brain one the ze of a soft ball is intertwined with the gland that makes the spinal/brain fluid. other Dr tried draining them didn't work the a LP shunt was put in and a week latter that stoped working so back in i went and that when i met dr klurfan and she suggested a programmable shunt after talking with me for over a hr to decide that this is my best move to go and i was told it was a more dangerous of all the surgery's I would have.. I came out with flying colours I was asking to go out side for a smoke 10 mins after waking up. I bounced back right away and asked to go home after 2 days. I have referred others to her and have all had the same out come. Her office staff are awesome too always pleasant and call right back. She is a great Dr!!!
