Great hospital I gave birth to my daughter here the nurses and doctors were great one thing that was a bit distracting was when I was waiting to check in a few times the nurses were all socializing at the front desk instead doing there jobs as I was standing there waiting but other than that it was great

I'm not sure about the previous reviews. I was hoping to rate MD on the doc that took care of my little guy the other day.. he was phenomenal. I am a RN myself so I understand the wait time... I feel it's important for people to understand that the ER can take a long time, especially when your child's condition is stable... there could be others behind another door that are not so lucky. As hard as it is as a parent when you are worried about your own child let's not forget it is a trauma center for many little ones in the region and there will be longer wait times, but the team really does want to do everything they can to help your child, even if it's minor. Dr Tage? I believe it was... first name was John. He was excellent in reassuring me and my grandmother about my sons condition, he took the time and proper steps that needed to be taken in that moment. My sons care will be followed up thanks to the referral they made and hopefully it will turn out to be something minor; however, the doctors took the appropriate steps to aid in his care and did what they could. I understand sometimes it's tough when it's your child and you hope for them to leave feeling better or all of the answers... but this isn't always realistic and it's okay to feel uneasy but they do an exceptional job helping with the immediate care and send you on to follow up with not so emergent needs. It's not a 5 star hotel we're talking about here, it's a hospital.. where they save lives and do whatever they can to aid in appropriate care at that time for your child.

Came in with my 2year old that had a rash on his leg and fever. One triage nurse placed a note saying chicken pox on his chart so we were quarantined. A doctor came in checked him and said that it wasn't chicken pox (we knew it wasnt)and swabbed his skin, but wanted another doctor to come and check him. That doctor refused to come in (said he had a newborn at home and didnt want to risk it)and sent a nurse to take pictures of my child for him to assets outside of the room. The 1st doctor came back in and said tgey agree its not chicken pox but gave me a prescription to give him for the symptoms. Not even 12hrs later I'm back cause the medication has him throwing up and his temperature is now at 40°c. Seen another 2 doctors here that rules out chicken pox yet again but demanded we stop givingbth medication previously prescribed as it will make him worst. They have now said it's a rare viral infection that my child has and not worth checking his blood.

Friends were not very happy with the nurses or doctors. They feel they are above you, and if I could have mentioned a few, I would, but have been silenced on this. Credentials are nothing, people are somebody, not a piece of paper that isn't worth it. Oct.21st, Saturday, 2017, 10:45 am. Thank you very much for upsetting my friends who have a child at that hospital.

Filthy, no toilet paper in bathrooms. Nurse was very nice, the doctor was a complete jerk. My son needed stitches in his head and refused to check for concussion. Asked if he has pain in his neck that was it. Get it together. TV's are great for the kids when they actually work.

Disorganized, inefficient, unfriendly. Given that there are so many other hospitals in Hamilton, I'll definitely avoid this one, in the future.

It was the worst experience for my family with a 2 month old that was admitted. From the inexperience of staff, to the services, not pleased. We were in red 3C. Even paid for a private room that we couldn't even use the bathroom facilities to our baby crying her eyes out from nurses being rough. Never again!!!!

This place makes you wonder if your baby is learning tool for the new nurses and doctors. My baby has be misdiagnosed so many times has been Thur so much in such a small amount of time .the lack of knowledge the doctors and no communication between them one would suggest something then the next one it's totally something else. They pump medications into the babies for no reason . The nurses overall have been nice . So many parents feel missed informed and treated it's a shame because you want only what's best for your baby they think you got a mental health issue . Think twice about going to this hospital
