Simply the best doctor anyone could ever have. She has helped my daughter since she was 5 and was instrumental in my daughter choosing medicine as a profession. Not only was Dr Prendiville a great doctor who managed my daughter’s atopic symptoms she also taught the family about life and being the best you can be (and how as a mother I could offer my daughter moral support). An amazing doctor, person and teacher. As she moves on we will all miss her sorely. I only wish that I could have bid her adieu personally. I wish Dr Prendiville the best and would like to tell her how much we thank her for her service and everlasting care. We will miss you at bc children’s. However I look forward to hearing about your future successss.

I hate going to see this doctor. For starters, be prepared to wait at least 1 hour sometimes 2 hours past your scheduled appointment - absurd. The doctor keep prescribing medications for my child's eczema that don't work and when I suggest alternative causes such as allergies she patronizes me. This woman needs to retire and let the next generation take the reins at Children's hospital.

She is very sweet but because of my sensitivity everything she recommended didn’t work. Also she took her sweet time and we had to wait several hours.

She was able to diagnose our son's genetic skin disease. Very knowledgeable and compassionate.

Much like one of the comments below, Dr Prendiville completely ignored our concern about food sensitivities and advised continuing the heavy duty cortisone prescribed for my year old niece. On our own initiative we removed dairy from her diet and within three days her horrific facial eczema had cleared up.

She was good at recommending all different kinds of things for me try, but nothing worked for me. But she did her best as a doctor. She explained everything and took her time with me.

We never saw the doctor. Unfortunately we waited for an hour and a half and couldn't wait any more. Now we have to go through the whole process of referral again. It seems crazy that 2 hours after the clinic opens that she is already that behind! This service is unacceptable.

Have seen her twice for my son. Once as an infant for his eczema where she prescribed heavy duty hydrocortisone and suggested we bathe him in bleach. Last month we saw her because of skin lesions on his nose and eyelid, diagnosed as warts. She was not interested in my concerns that he was going to be a target of bullying when he starts school and wanted to just let them be. The other option was to burn them off with liquid nitrogen, but she condescendingly told me that she didn't think he would be able to sit still enough for it. His behaviour was what one would expect of a 4 year old that had been waiting 90 minutes to be seen in a small room. Not impressed at all. Looking at other reviews it seems like she is more interested in the "weird" stuff and can't be bothered with the run of the mill warts and eczema.
