Doctor accused me of being a cocaine addict so i'm currently sitting in a blood clinic to prove him wrong and i probably won't be able to get adhd medication due to his lies and terrible medical decisions. He also stated i used lsd which i never have used in my life before. He also stated i'm a junkie because i use Dexedrine IR instead of his holy $13 vyvanse pills he likes to prescribe which is literally the same drug but causes insomnia. I'm going to attach the psych sheet and medical files to put an end to this doctor forever. What he's done is unacceptable and he is in no way an ADHD professional.

For an ADHD clinic their voice messaging system is 3 minutes long which is a bizarre treatment when dealing with ADHD clients. Their clinic is surrounded by construction and gps doesn't take you to the correct address due to this so you have to leave extra early to get lost for 20 minutes finding their location, which again is a bizarre treatment especially for an ADHD clinic. Dr. N. Youssef himself is not a terrible doctor, but also is borderline condescending and doesn't have critical thinking skills to fix problems. Dr. N. Youssef is not an ADHD specialist, he is a vyvanse fixes it all doctor. He would rather you suffer side effects than give you a medication in which you know that works, and is incredibly unscientific for a medical doctor. He tried to put me on a TCA which has a very low success rate, when I could have just taken a medication in which I knew already worked. I also tried showing him my Genecept Assay DNA and he said something along the lines of "I don't need to read that nonsense". I also had to explain to him what the transcranial magnetic stimulation is and had to educate him about the areas of the prefrontal cortex because it doesn't seem he knows what that is as a psychiatrist which is a bizarre. You also have to take off your shoes at the clinic which is a bizarre treatment and completely pointless. He makes you do a 30 minute questionnaire and a lot of his treatment options are based off him reading his dsm-5 on his desk and reviewing the results of the test; like I said before he doesn't have critical thinking skills and is not a very competent psychiatrist. He frequently invalidates what you're saying and politely tells you to shut the fk up when you try to explain things to him in more depth. Overall if you want a simple psychiatrist to get you vyvanse and if you're an easy ADHD case to fix you will be okay, if you have complex or severe ADHD or mental health problems then you're wasting you're time with this guy.

Meh, he was ok. Not exactly warm and welcoming. I only went back once, meds are not the answer for me and seems like that was his only solution. I’m looking for a wholistic approach and felt my needs were not being met. Instead of feeling understood I felt judged. He wasn’t awful but not wonderful either.

I am so unsure as to why Dr Yousseff has received a number of poor ratings on this website. I have found him to be understanding, considerate and systematic in my Add/Anxiety analysis. He has also found different medical combinations when the side effects were too much to bare. I am now on a combination that relieves my ADD, anxiety and is making me feel like the functioning professional i've always aspired to be. The receptionist is also wonderful, very helpful and punctual in setting up follow up appointments. I really do owe a lot to Dr Yousseff and his team. Thank you.

Honestly a lot of these reviews left me scared to go to Dr.Youssef, but I went anyways, and honestly I must say, he took his time with me and was extremely patient with me because I was struggling to explain everything. He only laughed when I'd say something funny or laugh at myself. Overall extremely helpful, nice and very professional. and I'm not sure if it was his assistant or what, but she was also extremely nice. Hopefully with this diagnosis and help I'll get on the right track:) thank you Dr.Youssef.

Well at least the waiting times seem to have improved and with reviews such as these it's easy to see why! In all fairness, I had been warned (by the reviews below as well as from my GP who diplomatically described him as "unique"). Having the utmost respect for the psychiatric profession, I was determined to see a specialist for assistance/guidance on some longstanding difficulties I felt were possibly the consequence of high functioning ADD of the inattentive type. Sure enough, after a 4 month wait, I completed a simple questionnaire and was ushered in to see what was in fact a very dismissive, cold and uncaring "specialist" about my concerns regarding learning, focus/concentration and painfully slow reading). I feel because I did not check all the right ADHD boxes so to speak, he arbitrarily made up a fictitious diagnosis based on his ignorance of Trauma Informed Care and poor understanding of concurrent disorders. He informed me he did not believe I have ADHD but, according to my GP's note which he shows me on his computer, another diagnosis altogether which was never discussed between myself and my GP. For the record, I have been seeing my GENERAL physician for 25 years and not only is she not qualified to make psychiatric diagnosis but even if she had been I believe we have a good rapport and would have had this conversation. To make up a story that my GP had communicated to him that I have BPD is so beyond damaging I'm amazed this guy hasn't yet been sued for malpractice. This guy is a game player and a quack. See him at your own discretion.
