Dr. Alicia Donohue is an incompetent doctor. Confused me with a different patient. Started talking about symptoms of another patient. She is not to be trusted and has control issues. Not supportive, lacks bedside manners, and does not follow-up with patients. Claims to have submitted papers for referrals but does not do it. Every visit is has been the same thing. Over 6 years of her saying she submitted referrals but not one call. Yet when a urgent care doctor submitted papers for the same thing, I heard back within 2 weeks. Alicia Donohue is an absolute failure as a doctor.

I have had Dr D for over 30 years and is also the Dr for my children. She's always acted with speed and has taken great care of our families complex/diverse needs. She's always been great with the kids and makes them feel very comfortable during each visit. We've never felt rushed. She calls us when test results come in, if there are any concerns and has opened up her weekends to see us if needed. I know of no other dr that does that. In a time where there is clearly a need for doctors and a shortage, I am super grateful for Dr. D. She goes above and beyond each time. People need to remember Dr.s are human too and are WAY over worked.

Terrible feeling. Dr. Donohue has changed a lot since Covid 19 started. She was much nicer. Very sad. No more caring patients. No more passion to help patients with their health issues. I have been asking and begging for a referral for my daughter to see her specialist for 5 months and have not received any response. I emailed her more than 3 times, had an online appointment to request it directly and called the clinic to leave a message. The clinic never answered the phone and never got back to us. I don't understand why Doctors are not seeing their patients. Doctors in the hospitals are working every day to provide direct care to their patients. Why clinics? Virtual meeting with patients?? Terrible.

Here we go.
Dr. Donohue has been my Dr. for over 20 years. I could always count on her. For the past 8, it has been horrible. I don’t know if it’s a form of control, but she refuses to refer to specialists. At one point, I had been suffering from a terrible condition, tears and all, I begged, BEGGED for a specialist. She refused. She told me she would, “look in her books”. I looked at her and immediately in my mind, I said, “she will never help me”. Plus, she never did “look in those books”. 2 months later I had to use harsh words, and finally saw a specialist.
Dr. Donohue, if you read this, it’s time for you to retire. You never follow up, you dismiss, you okay psychologist WAY too much, you are accusatory (as though things beyond a patients control are our fault!) and, bottom line, you just don’t (insert swear word here) care. You. Don’t. Care. I never believed the making money thing about you, but now I do. Gone are the days of the Dr. who fight for her patient. The days of caring and compassion. Dr. Donohue, retire. Please let someone come in and take over your patients so they can love healthy and happy lives. You are hurting us. We are in pain, are not being diagnosed, and are suffering. Go. Please go.

If anyone can pass this to Alicia Donahue then please do so. I can’t use “Dr” because it is an insult to professional doctors. For the sake of your clients health, please follow-up with them, make yourself available, or quit because you are causing more harm than good. You are terrible at providing health care, you have potential to provide good care but you act like people are so easy to discard. Why are you still in this field? The experience with you has been horrible, the moment I can find another doctor is the moment I will never engage with you again. It is almost impossible to get results and follow-ups from you.

A horrible experience, you can't get an appointment or reply. No one to contact, terrible service and lacking in compassion. She is very dismissive and an absolute failure to follow-through or follow-up on things. The ideal doctor if you have basically no health conditions or if you want meds for mental illness; she will throw you pills for anything she feels is mental illness. If my child listed to this doctor then they would have been taking 5 different kinds of meds that CHEO said were not necessary. We have been waiting over 4 years for referrals to get done. Our last attempt to get a reply from her or set an appointment is now over five months ago and still nothing. Dr. Alicia Donohue really needs to up her commitment, quit the field, or retire.

Missed Crohn's disease diagnosis. I had chronic digestive issues for years and she had me do blood tests. No follow up was done.

Switched family doctor, and new doctor immediately referred me to gastrointestinal clinic where they gave me Crohn's diagnosis.

We left. Did not find a tumour which I felt and waited months before she would refer me for a mammogram. By the time I got a mammogram my cancer was advanced. Rude. Seemed she was suffering from depression. Her staff were also very rude.

Dr.Donohue is continuing to write reports on mental illnesses for very young children. Worse is that her untrained and speculative guesses at what may be causing a young child to act out is being taken as if she was an authority in the field of child psychology and her "written guesses" are being admitted into courts as factual!!! Her duty to cause no harm is replaced with her new oath
Harm just enough till I can get you in with someone that will pay me referral fees and will not be able to diagnose nor provide you with any reasonably minimal health care in regards to your complaints because she no longer is able to comprehend her patients health needs at all. She will never give you a referral to a clinic or specialist that will provide the care you need since she won't be able to make any money. I would hope she will have to face the consequences for the years of fraud, malpractice, conspiracy and take responsibility for all the lives she has hindered and irrevocably damaged.

Firstly, this DrD. Might not be for everyone. I've also had my ups and downs with her. Yes, her bedside manner is not warm and fuzzy with anyone over 16 but having been a patient of hers for over 30 years, I am eternally grateful for having Dr Donohue as my family's doctor. Dry humour and all.
I can always get an appointment within a week, and any necessary tests and/or referrals, which surprises many ppl I know.
She works around the clock!
Who else sees patients throughout the week as well as weekends, holds numerous annual vaccination clinics, keeps in touch via instant messaging, email and video calls as well as makes late night phone calls to give patients test results, follow up on treatments or checking in after an ER visit? There's only one, to my knowledge, and we'll keep her.
