This doc needs to retire. She failed my grandmother over and over, refusing to refer her to CCAC homecare when it was clearly needed. She failed to pick up on so many cues of depression, failure to cope, failure to thrive, personal hygeine neglect, etc. Time to retire, lady.

She is simply wonderful. Dr Bright has always been willing to take the time to understand and respond on many levels... diagnosis, treatment and emotional support. I couldn't care less if I have to wait. She takes the time needed with every patient. I know I'll be listened to and supported. She has set me straight with gentle good humour on more than one occasion, when it would be easier for her to nod, smile and shove me out the door. She's a much better doctor than most and certainly a much much better doctor than I am a patient. Having dealt with other physicians from time to time, I'm very aware that my family and I have been very fortunate to have had the competent, kind and caring primary care that Dr Bright has provided in good times and bad. Shirley was a kind and friendly right hand woman to Dr Bright, but I like Diane too. I hope they feel appreciated and that their ears are burning right now...

Dr. Bright was my doctor for over 30 years. She was great until she moved to the Bank Street location. She then became impatient and less caring. Not having any medical problems, thank heavens, during this time I really didn't need to see her only at annual checkups or for a occasional cold etc. However, when I developed a severe problem she advised me I was a type A personality. Some weeks later I was hospitalized after going to another walk in clinic with a severe gall bladder attack. Some type A personality. There were also stones in the bile duct.

Dr. Bright is a great doctor. She has a great sense of humour, will take the time to talk about an issue and is usually very thorough and that is why there is always a long wait in her waiting room but most patients come prepared to read for a while.

Dr. Bright has been my GP for 30 years. She has always had time for me and is always 'present' when I'm talking to her. She's always late, but I schedule my time accordingly and she's usually late because she's doing a home visit or catching up on calls. She is so compassionate and caring and knows and understands her patients very well. Having said all that, her 'new' secretary isn't a patch on Shirley, who left a few years ago. She's rude, condescending, and downright nasty. I often wonder if Dr. Bright is aware of how this woman treats the patients. It's a disgrace.

I have had Dr. Priscilla Bright as my doctor (family physian) for 30yrs and she is the best! She always takes the time and/or extra time to listen to you. She provides you with the information you need to assist you. She is very up to date on new practices, medicines and therapies and if she does not know all the answers she will contect you with someone who does. She will be retiring soon I am sure and I will miss her very much. I can only hope and will pray to find another doctor such as her. I have been blessed these past 30yrs and so has my mother. What she has done to help my mother was beyond her call of duty. Thank you Dr. Bright for all you have done to help me and my family. Deborah Langelier

Dr. Bright must be the hardest working GP in Ottawa. What other doctor will make a house call to your house rather than send you to a walk in clinic (if needed of course)? The wait may be longer than usual but if you wait for a long time it's because you didn't call to inform yourself in advance. Dr Bright is there when you need her and she communicates with you, explains the options and the possibilities, she cares and treats every patient with respect and consideration. She works with your referals, makes calls and follows everything up herself. With her years of experience she knows the system inside out, it's not perfect and neither is Dr Bright (who is) but I'd rather have her on my side than anyone else. She is gifted, caring, patient, a pleasure to visit and will be missed when she retires. Her first priority is always her patients whether she is in the office or not. You can't get any better than Dr Bright.

I was a patient for her for over 20 years, she tried to persuade me to take an addictive drug, when it was not needed. I often felt rushed and she even got up from an yearly exam saying she did not have time. I agree with the other poster when she moved to South Bank the quality of service declined.

Dr. Bright is friendly, helpful, understanding. She always has time for her patients and really gets to know them. While she sometimes keeps me waiting, I've never minded, because I knew it was because she was giving the patients ahead of me all the time they needed - and that she would do the same for me. I don't know what I'll do when she retires!
