I went to Dr. Patteras after a major surgery from another surgery. I had complications looking at another surgery but Dr Patteras did a minor procedure that was successful so I did not have to have the surgery redone. He was very informative and kind.

Went to Dr. Pattaras on a referral from a friend who had prostate cancer treatment. Saw him in a multi-disciplinary clinic with a radiation oncologist. He spent nearly an hour reviewing treatment options for my disease and educated me and my wife about the differences. Ultimately I chose surgery and it was the right choice for me. His educational booklet and staff were terrific and now I am cancer free.

Went to Dr. Pattaras from a recommendation from my neighbor. Glad I did. My other doctor did not offer me any options for my cancer treatment. He spent nearly an hour reviewing my case with me and my wife. I felt extremely confortable knowing he is a world expert and teaches doctors as well as patient care. I found him knowledgeable and honest. Not sure I noted any arrogance at all just confidence. I did great after robotic surgery and would recommend him to anyone. His office staff is very friendly and kept me in the loop as he sees pretty complicated cancer cases and can run a bit late but worth it.

At first seemed a bit stand-offish however after spending more time with him - 20 minutes five weeks in a row...... he is very interesting, very funny and put me at ease..... not an easy thing to do while there are tubes and wires in your renal pelvis for twenty minutes. Less-invasive procedure as opposed to taking out my kidney - Dr. Pattaras has my vote ....!!!

Dr. Pattaras was generally unavailable although on most occasions his staff were excellent. Never met him prior to surgery, which was more than 4 hours late. While is is undoubtedly an expert in his field, he has little bedside manner or apparent compassion. I could not recommend him unless you had an emergency with no choice of physicians.

Terrible attitude, awful bedside manner. Very arrogant and pompous. His knowledge is probably satisfactory from what i could tell. I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone who wants to be treated with respect (or even like a fellow human being). however in an emergency situation where you're in and out with no follow up he's probably not the worst guy around...
