Love Susan Reed. Recommended by my best friend and I am so happy she did! My only issue is she doesn't work weekends which makes it kind of tough but her receptionist managed to find me a 6pm appointment time which he said he will guarantee for me as long I need it which works pretty well. Happy to give 5 stars all round!

Thank you for your kind review. You are correct we do not open over the weekend but do offer a wide range of appointment times during the week. Once a client has an appointment time/day/frequency set we guarantee that slot moving forward until the client decides otherwise. This insures continuity of treatment. We also offer flexible ad hoc options.

I was recently looking to get an emergency same day appointment for my adult daughter who was having what i thought was some sort of panic attack. Although there were no appointments available that daye Susans receptionist spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me. Very compationate and also extremely knowledgeable. He talked me through some actions I should take, offered me details of lots of other resources and most of all gave me loads of reassurance that I was doing all the right things and that my daughter would get the help she needed by reaching out to the places he told me about. He even called me back the next day to find out how if I had found the help we needed. Its rare to find a business that spends so much quality time with a person in need without even a hint of charging! Thank you thank you thank you! I will forsure be looking at setting up some non emergancy appointments in the near future but felt I had to share my experience. This really is a great practice and resource even tho i havnt even met Susan Reed yet!

Although we do have to run our practice as a "business", both Susan and I recognize that when someone reaches out to us we have a responsibility to offer as much help and support as we can even if our clinic is full. It took me a while just to make the call but I am so very glad I did. Without Susans help I was really struggling. Although I still have bad days, just knowing she is there is enough sometimes. Rather than just sit and listen to me Susan actually engages and offers real advice, shares extraordinary knowledge and holds me to account for my actions. Susan is warm and caring yet firm and direct with me when I need it. I highly recommend Susan.

Without doubt Susan will be my 'lifetime' therapist. I have tried two others in the past who just seemed to want to sit and listen without actually helping me move forward. Susan is in a very different league. While she does listen, she actually has strategies, adivise and offers excellent solutions as I try to work through my issue (which I do not wish to divulge). As a bonus her office manager actually answers the phone and is there to help with my bookings and insurance. Also saved me quite a bit of money dealing with my provider trying to underpay me. Thank you Susan and happy new year!

Biography

Counselling Psychology and is a member of the The Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. She works in full-time private practice, providing cognitive-behavioural therapy to individuals and couples. Susan is a Diplomate in both Psychotherapy and Counseling with the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy; and a clinical member of the Collage of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Susan also has extensive experience working with Employee Assistance Programs and in Rehabilitation.
