I just found this website, so here is what I think, of The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 555 University Avenue) I practically grew up there, in the 1960's & 70's. I spent a lot of time, on the Neurosurgery Floor (In those days) and if, memory serves me correctly, it was on the 6th floor. I also, spent a lot of time on the Urology Floor which I think, was on the 8th floor. And I also, spent a lot of time, on the Orthopedic Floor which I think, was on the 5th floor. I would say that, the doctors, were very good in those days. They were in fact, pioneers, and students of pioneers, in medicine, and medical procedures, and medical devices, two of which, I have in me. In the interest of full disclosure, I was born (A Biffer) AKA Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus. The last time I visited Sick Kids Hospital (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) was in the Spring of 2008 too participate in a study. I believe, it is still, one of the best hospitals in the world. But as it should be with everything in life, I believe, there is, always, room for improvement.

DO NOT GO TO SICK KIDS to have dental work done unless you don't care about your kids Barrett, Edward Joseph should not be considered a child's dentist he should be considered a butcher he doesn't try to save teeth instead he just pulls all of them and stitches. My two and a half year old went in to get her (front teeth fixed only front teeth) we went to the consultation and told them everything they needed to know why she was so small that she was a twin etc etc he informed us that if it wasn't in the butter that he would fill it and if it was in the butter he would cap it he couldn't get x-rays at the consultation because our little one wasn't cooperating so the plan was the day of the surgery he would do an exam take X-rays then come an talk to me he was told if he couldn't save them TO NOT TOUCH HER and we would go to a amazing dentist that would take the time and fix them right instead they went and did what he thought was right didn't consult with us first took her in supposed to be a hour surgery turned into a two and a half hour surgery took me into a sound proof room and says he heard what I said in the waiting room which was if he took her teeth that I would blow a gasket so he knew not to take her teeth then tells me he had to pull *some of her teeth* get her home to realize the sick pig took all her teeth except her 14 year old molars what he said was preventive dentistry so she will never have to come back he stole her smile that day she had the prettiest little smile that you would ever see this little girl could eat anything now what she's gonna be stuck on soft food until she gets her adult teeth aka like 8 years she's probably going to get made fun of at school because she has no teeth because of you his excuse on the phone to me was because she was so small and losing weight that he figured she was bulimic I interrupted him an said no it was because she was a twin his response ooh I didn't know did you say that at the consultation and I responded Yes I did (well maybe you need to actually learn to read a patient chart before you work on them!!) as for losing weight yeah ok that's why she put on 3 pounds in 3 weeks from the last time we saw him no different in diet except no more breast milk as suggested shame on you Barrett, Edward Joseph this is going to all social media I'm taking it to the news papers and we have made contact to a lawyer Justice For Rozlynn

I was a sick kids kid 35 years ago. I had open heart surgery when I was two days old. It is because of this hospital I am a daughter sister and aunt. Let's show our appreciation. Come on all you sick kids kids.

This is a very poor hospital now it has gone down hill. The hospital is dirty and I mean very dirty. The staff aren't very nice and they do not know what they are doing. My son injured himself at the park and was taken into emgency was seen by nurse and doctors for his injury and a follow up appointment and I never received any call for the follow up appointment and I had to call them more then 10 times it actually took one day until I got a responses back and an appointment. Not very nice the emergency department forgot to send in the referral notes to the clinic. Thank goodness I called them wait it gets worst so I take my son to the appointment after the one day of trying to get through and from there I get accuse of doing well she was hinting that I the mom had did this injury to my son. I couldn't believe this nurse she shouldn't be even working as a nurse.

I have been in Sick Kids for awhile now, and for the past 12 years has been good. The doctors are very nice and welcoming, the front door volunteers are very helpful and the atmosphere in the hospital is positive. Though the Hospital does need to organize appointments properly and need more signs to help new comers where to go. Surgery wise, trusting the doctors should not be a worrying factor as they have excellent doctors. I am 17 right now , and my clef lip scar is barely noticeable. Thanks Sick Kids.
