Dr. Richler was my paediatrician when I was a child and I have fantastic memories of him and the care he provided. I always looked forward to going to the doctor’s! Now that I’m pregnant with my first I’m really hoping that he is available to be my child’s paedatrician - hoping he doesn’t retire any time soon!

I feel very lucky to have Dr. Richler as my children's doctor. My kids were frequently sick when they were young, and I was always able to get an appointment or helpful advice when I called. Appointments are always on time and sometimes even running ahead of schedule. His staff are really amazing - and they complement his style. If you need the nurturing, reassuring supportive stuff, his staff are wonderful and never make you feel rushed.. Dr. Richler himself is very non-alarmist and practical, which, as a nervous parent, was exactly what I needed. He has a dry wit that I appreciate, and he is just amazing with my kids. His ability to connect with them, and the way he puts them at ease, beyond everything else, is what I like most. If you want a doctor who is going to keep a running dialogue during the appointment about what he is doing and why, maybe he is not the doctor for you. He will answer your questions, and address your concerns, but he is not there to be your friend so stick to the point. He will focus on your child and give them what he knows they need. Over the years my kids have been seen various doctors, and I can tell you from my experience that he is the best we have ever had. I am just hoping he does not retire before my children grow up! (Another perk of having him as our pediatrician is access to the after-hours clinic. Over the years it kept us from having to go to the CHEO emergency room more times than I can count!)

Both my kids go to Dr. Richler and he is great!! I love how his first response isn't to provide antibiotics and medication to every little issue. He wants the childs body to be able to heal its own. He only provides prescriptions if it's actually necessary. Which is great!! When we first went I was taken back how quickly the appointment went and i felt as if he wasn't even checking my kid. With time I realized he was actually checking everything that he needs to but in different ways. He really focuses on the kids and interacts with them through communication. I'm really happy with our overall experience with him and the staff. I highly recommend and hope he doesn't retire soon.

Dr Richler showed his contempt for me at my first pediatric appointment with my newborn when I handed him the midwife's notes on her birth and medical history and he turned around and threw them in the garbage. From that moment on, he labelled me and wouldn't listen to my concerns regarding my children. Brought her in twice with ear infections and he replied 'we can't always put her on antibiotics every time you don't get a good night's sleep'. She had never been on anti biotics before!! Finally took her to CHEO after two weeks and they reprimanded me for not getting her medical attention for her condition. They were going to report me to CAS until i told them she had seen her pediatrician twice and he refused to treat her.

Doctor Richler is condescending , borderline racist , If you are non muslim you can see the smile on his face , as soon as he sees a person in a hijab or a person of color , his tone will change and becomes so dry. I gave him chances over the period of 5 years. I give up , Not once he smiled at us or treated us and my family with respect. So sad this still exists in 2020. will be taking my kids elsewhere. receptionist is amazing though.

Dr Richler accepted my daughter into his practice knowing that she had more medical needs than most children and has helped her through a number of issues. We are grateful for his punctuality, availability for urgent appointments, and his familiarity with her syndrome. The doctors at CHEO were impressed with his ideas for her treatment. A great doctor who I would recommend to anyone who needs a pediatrician!

Dr. Richler is the best pediatrician one can have. He was the physician for both my children from birth to until they were eighteen. I trust him 100%. His k iwledge and assessment was always right. I highly recommend him.

This doctor is extremely rude, he asks you if have questions and then makes you feel like you should have known the answer. He stuck his fingers in my babies mouth without any gloves on and I have never seen him wash his hands on any visit. Might be time to retire, he seems like a very crabby old man. Will not be going back to him. Save yourself the time and find a different doctor for your child.

Professional with a appropriate sense of humor. Sends you to a specialist if needed. He speaks with my children not just at them. Fabulous front line staff.
