The time, the place, the person. The people who make things better, for who? I need more honest support, thank you.

Meeting with Dr. Arnaout for pre-surgery was the first time I was not terrified after receiving my diagnosis. I was able to breathe again knowing she was looking after me. Surgery was not scary with her team by my side. I wish her all the best on her move to British Columbia as she continues to offer her knowledge, dedication, and skills with the PHSA.

I found myself in her care after being diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer in May 2022 and found her to be an excellent surgeon. During the initial visit she determined that a lumpectomy with breast reduction and lift combined with contra lateral balancing reduction was the way to go, stating that a reduction would also make the adjutant radiation treatment much easier. She showed my husband and I dozens of before and after photos on her iPhone that were stunning. I highly doubt that those photos are of her cancer patients after their operation. I would suggest that she show before and after photos of her cancer patients after the lumpectomies, what is the point of showing the others? You won’t come out of the OR looking like any of those photos. My cancer was stage 1, quite small at max of 11mm, however the resulting surgery took me from a D cup to a B cup, which was unexpected. I would also suggest that she mention any unexpected issue to her patient on the way out. It would go a long way to explain the outcome. Being a total neophyte to breast cancer, I had no idea about anything. I have since been asked why she did not use the tissue from the unaffected breast to help with the reconstruction and I have no answer one way or another. I am usually a proactive person and I can only assume I was in shock after the diagnosis and just went along with the flow without asking questions or checking into alternatives. Please don’t make the same mistakes I did. Do your homework to ensure you have the best outcome for yourself once the cancer has been removed.

Dr Arnaout is an amazing doctor, if you have her as your surgeon you are blessed, I had my first surgery 11 years ago for a cyst when I was diagnosed with cancer and went for my first appointment as she entered the room she recognized me as I did too just calm feeling came over me. She is understanding and caring. She helped take me from the worst in my life- to surgery to recovery. She was understanding and empathetic the whole way through, You are lucky to have her she really is an angel and she really does care!

I find that Dr. Arnaut is very knowledgeable in her field and is very sympathetic to what the patient is going through hence I felt safe and cared for in my time of need. I was very lucky and grateful that she was my doctor, her bedside manner is excellent. She answered all our (mine and my husband) in a very clear and precise manner that we understand. She made sure that the surgery went as well as she possible could, taking out a little extra just to make sure everything is clear. She also considered how everything will look after the surgery which turned out well . Dr. Arnauot is amazing and she is the kind of person and doctor you want to be with you during this difficult time. I thank God for Dr. Angel Arnaout. Thank you very much Dr. A. Arnaout!

If I could I would give 100 star review. Her bedside manner, professionalism, kind spirit and compassion is what got me through the difficulties of cancer. I was lucky enough to have her do my lumpectomy, and I thank god she did, she put so much emphasis in ensuring I came out looking womanly and like myself after all is said and done. She is the most well rounded doctor I have came across and I am eternally grateful to her.
