He saved my life. I had Stage 4 metastatic melanoma. I really was on borrowed time. I was cured and 6 yrs later I am here. I owe my life.

Waited 3 hours to see Dr. Hogg a locum at RVH Barrie he gave no apology whatsoever for running late. This doctor does not care about his patients, he is very cold, arrogant and dismissive. He completely flip flopped to what he said at our last appointment. Very old school attitude!

Dr. Hogg heard me when I spoke at my appointment but he never actually listened to what I said, nor did he answer any of my questions or concerns. He had an agenda to deliver and just snowballed right over us with his arrogance and condescending manner. I'd like to believe that he may have been a better doctor in his days at PMH but now in his 70's thankfully he soon will retire. This doctor has zero empathy and complete disregard for what advanced cancer patients and their families go through during treatment. I won't ever forget how he made us feel yesterday. Best advice see another oncologist.

This sorry excuse of an "Expert" has 0 Class. What goes around comes around Dr. Hogg, you cost my mother her life with your "Expertise". Hope you rot.

Dr Hogg has been my oncologist for 7 years. I have been through radiation 3 times and chemotherapy 4 times. He is a busy man but he always took the time to take care of me. He is professional, caring, he listens and always answer my questions.

Dr. Hogg may be an expert in his field but his professional credentials are almost negated by his arrogant, condescending manner. I now have cancer for the fourth time and have dealt with many other oncologists and other medical specialists. Although a couple of them were not the epitome of warmth, the vast majority were very professional, empathetic and caring. Empathy is not merely Dr. Hogg's short suit. It is completely absent. It is trying enough to have to live with advanced cancer without having to deal with an attitude of indifference that borders on hostility.

In dealing with other oncologists, my questions have always been answered satisfactorily and respectfully. Unfortunately, Dr. Hogg exhibits impatience with questions. It's almost as if he expects the patient to be nothing more than a passive recipient of treatment rather than an active participant in and contributor to the decision-making process.

My advice to any patient who is assigned to Dr. Hogg is to shop around if at all possible.

After meeting with a Radiologist & Surgical Oncologist, they told my wife that there was nothing they could do. The Surgeon referred us to Dr. Hogg without an appointment that day. Dr. Hogg spent 2 unplanned hours with us that day and arranged for every test/scan imaginable. It was truly the scariest day of our lives but somehow, he calmed us. Once everything came in the next day, he developed a plan of attack to help, even coming in on his day off to help arrange treatment.

The initial treatment worked well but my wife could not stay on it because of the adverse reactions. She is now enrolled in an immunotherapy clinical trial under Dr. Hogg's care. He is kind, patient, gentle and answers all of our questions. He is always quick to respond to any of our concerns or questions.

If we didn't meet Dr. Hogg that day, our lives would have been very different. THANK YOU!

I was referred to Dr D. Hogg June 2016 after being diagnosed with Metastatic Melanoma he recommended that I should receive Immunotherapy Trial Treatments, after only two treatments the results were amazing the large tumour on my back disappeared and significant improvement to my lungs and liver to the point that today 17 months later there is no evidence of a recurrence of the Melanoma. Dr D. Hogg his staff and all the people at the Clinic are wonderful they TRULY CARE. Because of him I was just able to book a trip of a lifetime on an African Safari.
