Discovering the widespread patient satisfaction with Dr. Leong's care instilled substantial confidence in me to entrust my health to him. However, no amount of online research could surpass the value of our direct interactions. He preemptively answered many of my questions and attentively listened to all my concerns. I firmly believe that had our paths crossed under different circumstances, he might have become one of my dearest and most sincere friends, with a genuine concern for my health. Yet, mere words fall short of capturing this exceptional surgical skills. My surgical incisions have been consistently praised by every doctor and nurse who has seen them.

I needed a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node dissection for my breast cancer. I was considered very high risk for the surgery because I was on a blood thinner with a mechanical aortic valve. My blood sugar and blood pressure were also out of whack! Dr. Wey Leong managed to carry out my surgery with ease! I went home the same day! No drain, no pain killers, no dressing change. He was a miracle worker.

I was an anxious fool back then, I declined everything that every other doctor recommended to me, including chemotherapy, radiation and hormone pills. But one thing that I was grateful of, was the empathetic, calming and confident demeanor of Dr. Leong that lead me to accept the surgery that literally extended my life for nearly 10 years and counting. I said a lot of mean words when I was stressed, but that didn’t stop Dr. Leong from willing to save me. My other oncologists refused to see me after a few interactions, but I could always count on Dr. Leong to help me.

I am very grateful to have Dr. Leong as my surgical oncologist! He went above and beyond!

Three weeks after we saw the first surgeon in Niagara, we went to PMCC for a second opinion. We liked the fact that Dr. Leong laid out all the pros and cons of each surgical option upfront clearly so that we could choose the surgery that fit our priorities. The first surgeon on the other hand, confused us with a lot of medical jargons that we didn’t understand. While we couldn’t tell which surgeon was better technically, Dr. Leong showed us a diagram right from his phone to illustrate how he planned to do the oncoplastic surgery. This showed his experience and patience in making sure his patients understood the process.
Immediately after the visit, we cancelled the surgery with the first surgeon, even though Dr. Leong could not do my surgery sooner. We felt that it was more important to be confident and comfortable with the surgeon than having the procedures simply because it was a bit sooner and closer to home.
Dr. Leong actually recommended us to stay with the first surgeon as he knew the other surgeon personally, and he felt that I would be in good hands either way. He was too humble!

I was so scared because I worried that I could not understanding what was going to happen to my breast after I felt a lump. Doctor Leong was very good in explaining, I could understand everything even though my English was terrible. He was very kind and patient with me. The assistants in his office, Kathleen and Sarah were also very kind.

I had other oncologists after my operation because I needed more treatments. I felt Doctor Leong was the best of them all.

Over 1 year after my operation, my recent mammogram report was good. I was so happy. Doctor and I celebrated the anniversary in the clinic together. He really took care of me.

I thank god for blessing me with Doctor Leong as my surgeon. I felt whole and cancer free. My surgery was perfect.

Simply the best! Dr. Leong is a sweetheart! Very considerate. He has amazing (magical) surgical skills, yet he is so humble and polite, not to mention how funny (to keep things light) he is.
His team is very hardworking and talented, the assistant Kathleen deserved the honour of the best admin I have ever encountered.

I didn’t believe him when Dr. Leong told my 83 years old mother that she could go home the same day after her cancer surgery. Not only she went home the same day, she went out the next day shopping and she didn’t take any pain killers at all. Another thing was, he called me as soon as the surgery was done from the recovery room, it was a big relief to hear her voice on the speakerphone. He is such a skillful and compassionate doctor.

It's been 3 weeks since Dr. Leong performed a lumpectomy on me on September 18. I couldn't ask for a better recovery from my surgery. The Cancer Education booklet we received talked a lot about the pain management, to be honest I was really worried about the pain I would experience after the surgery. If you told me that I only needed two Tylenols, I wouldn't believe you at that time, but this is true 😁 I felt almost back to my normal self by the second day. Sarah called to check on me two days after the surgery to make sure everything was good and encouraged me to call her if I had any questions. Kathleen, Dr. Leong's assistant responded to my emails and calls promptly, what a incredible team! Although I never had any kind of surgeries before, I had interactions with other health care professionals, Dr. Leong and his team is the best! They care about the patient. Dr. Leong's smile, kind, knowledge and confidence makes me feel I can definitely beat the cancer. My mom really appreciated that Dr. Leong called her right from the recovery room after the surgery, she mentioned it to me several times. Thank you Dr. Leong 👍

Today, Dr. Leong went over the pathology report with me, I will now wait for the next phase of my treatment. Thank you Dr. Leong and your team, I know I'm in the best hands. 😘

Dr Leong is truly the best!! I had my fibroadenoma lumpectomy surgery on 09/18/2023 and have experienced zero pain until now. I was surprised that they managed to book me in for surgery within 2 weeks of the initial consultation!! I was given a prescription for painkillers and didn’t take a single tablet. The night of the surgery I kept on expecting some pain to appear overnight once the anesthetic and IV painkiller had worn off, but I had absolutely none. It didn’t feel like I had any sort of surgery. After reading the reviews on here I knew I was making the right decision to get my lump removed by the most competent doctor I got the pleasure to meet. I’ve had this lump for almost 14 years now, got it diagnosed in Europe and UK, but never felt comfortable enough to have it removed by the doctors abroad. I’ve been hoping to get a cryoablation (not an option in Canada) done instead as I was nervous to get it removed surgically under general anesthesia. Two days after the surgery, I received a follow-up call from his office to make sure everything was going well. The only doctor that made me feel reassured about the lumpectomy was Dr Leong and I can’t thank him enough for his fantastic patient care, I’ll forever be grateful for his excellent service. God bless him 🙏
