Dr Kaushik is an absolutely amazing MD. There’s a lot of comments here about long wait times, but you have to remember that this is a clinic issue, not him particularly, and he’s in very high demand because he’s probably the best doc in the city. I’m more than willing to wait, knowing that the main reason he may be running behind is that he pays a hell of a lot more attention and gives so much more time to his patients than most docs, and I know he’s WELLLLL worth the wait! I’ve had doctors that have treated my health and especially mental health with indifference, but Dr Kaushik has hands down been the best GP I’ve ever seen. He takes the time to sit down and explain things, reassure me that what I’m feeling or experiencing is valid and that he’s going to ensure a prompt, logical and reasonable treatment plan that meets my needs and calms my worries. I simply just can’t begin to explain how amazing he is, if I could give 1000 stars I would. As for those commenting about fees, yes there are sometimes fees associated with non-ohip covered services, or for those not covered by ohip, but those are assessed by the clinic, not him. In fact, more than once he’s gone out of his way to waive fees for notes and such for me, knowing that I’m a student and money can be a bit tight for me sometimes, just another example of how he displays genuine compassion for his patients. Also, for the pennies OHIP pays physicians nowadays, He’s not doing this for the money. You get way more worth out of an appointment with Dr Kaushik than could ever be paid.

I was so used to my awful family doctor that I forgot what it was like to be treated like a human being and listened to. Dr. Kaushik was attentive, compassionate and effective. I hope to see him again when in need.

I waited 6 hours and paid a 70$ receipt just to hear this guy tell me that I have a heart murmur. Never going to this clinic again. Just a useless cash grab.

Dr. Kaushik is the most caring and efficient Dr that I have met in my life. He takes time to listen to you and is easy to talk to. And he is a good Dr., doing all the necessary tests to find the best solution . Yes, you will probably be waiting about 2 hours but you can bring a book or some work to do. He is worth the wait!

Honestly such a great doctor. Bedside manor 100/10. I've seen him twice at the apple tree clinic and he's super friendly and efficient. Jokes around, puts you at ease. Would definitely grab a beer with him.

I waited TWO HOURS on a video appointment!! How?? Half hour past my appointment time and 45 minutes past when they wanted me online, I called and they said there are 12 people ahead of you as the doctor is running a bit late!! 12 people!!! By the time I saw him I was so much in pain and tired of waiting that I hadn’t much energy left! He casually dismissed my worries and said my problem was complex and he couldn’t do anything! I asked him to refer me to the right specialist as I am suffering. He said he couldn’t do that because specialist don’t accept his referrals!! I told him I didn’t have a family doctor, he asked me for the name of my previous doctor and apparently has that put in my charts as my family practitioner!!
More than two hours of waiting and.. absolutely no results!
Medical care has turned into an ugly joke and it is absolutely not funny! Apple tree specially has managed to gather all the worst doctors together! As if they were on clearance and Appletree picked up all the leftovers!
I Aldo know by experience that many of the good ratings got some doctors here are written by their many family members!
I hope someone from the authorities would read read these comments and followed up! I’m suffering from a rare condition and can’t find help!

I have been seeing Dr Kaushik for the last 4 years and I have recommended him to all my friends. I would say he is one of the best doctor that I have met in my life!

Wow. This has to be the best doctor I’ve ever met, perhaps even one of the nicest people I’ve met. He is such an amazing person, truly wants to help you and even makes some jokes to make you feel less nervous (I was really anxious). My relative recommended me Dr. Kaushik after us both having a bad experience with healthcare in Quebec. I went to the appletree clinic on sparks street, it opens at 9 but be there at 8 if you want to pass quickly (since it’s walk-in). I arrived at 8:40 and had to wait almost 2 hours. They did offer me to see a doctor via webcam but I didn’t mind waiting to see the Dr in person. The medical staff were really nice and professional. The doctor truly listened to my concerns, didn’t judge me, didn’t rush or make me feel like I’m a burden (that’s how I felt in Quebec, like they just want to get it over with). He gave me tests for a lot of things just to make sure I’m well and he gave me papers on which are written the different places where I can get my tests done (which definitely won’t take months or even years like in Quebec). I felt like I mattered, I felt listened, I felt cared for. Truly an amazing doctor, you won’t regret seeing him! Totally recommend!
