I thank my primary care physician for referring me to Dr. Alan Gottlieb. I have gone to many doctors in my lifetime and was given a diagnosis of sarcoidosis forty-six years ago. My inflammation stayed in my eyes for years. Later I began having arthritis and pain spread into shoulders, knees, hands and arm. At one point I had knee replacement surgery. As time progressed the pain got so bad that I didn’t know where to go. I started by going to the emergency room, then to the gynecologist and then to my primary care physician. The pains seem to be everywhere. A steroid shot and prednisone helped. I was sent to take a MRI by an orthopedic surgeon and found that I have spinal stenosis but hesitated on surgery. Soon the pain came back and I was able to get an evening appointment to my PCD. This time they recommended a Rheumatogist name Dr. Alan J. Gottlieb. Dr. Gottlieb listened and very orderly looked at every medication I was taking and went about giving me tests after test. He then gave me my diagnosis. I never had sarcoidosis but had spondyloarthropathy. He even told me of medical problems I may have had earlier in life. I only wish my mother was alive to witness that at last I found someone to help me with this pain. I am so thankful for his caring and approach to finding my illness. I trust him and know he has my best interest at heart.

Dr. Gottlieb has been my rhumatologist for over 10 years, I have lived in 4 states and I have had 5 rhumatologist. Dr. Gottlieb is by far the most knowledgeable, compassionate, and in touch physician I have ever encountered. Dr. Gottlieb even makes sure to notice the small things, like if you can apply your make-up, button your clothes or polish your own nails, he notices and reacts to your daily life needs.

Dr. Gottlieb is very professional with a direct focus on getting you well again. His staff is also very professional and makes you feel very comfortable while you are there. My visits have always been very prompt with very little or no waiting at check-in or in the examination room. I have had 5 appointments with Dr. Gottlieb. I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and Osteoporosis in January 2014 with major swelling and pain in joints, spine, and a very especially my feet. Now my swelling is gone, my back and feet feel great.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gottlieb's for over 15 years. When I was first referred to Dr. Gottlieb, I was unable to walk without the use of crutches for over 3 months. Within days of my visit, I was able to resume normal activity, pain free. He has personally called in the evenings or on weekends if I had a flare up to ensure I was responding well to treatment and to see if I needed anything. He has even made himself available while on vacation. If I have a flare, he somehow always manages to squeeze me in. He is caring , always remembering to ask about my family. Dr. Gottlieb is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Gottlieb was able to diagnose a very rare condition and spent a year trying to get the right combination of meds to treat. He would call on Sunday mornings to go over lab results and med adjustments. Chronic condition is under excellent control with no flare-ups for several years now. He tells it like it is and pulls no punches. He also does not let you tell him what is wrong and what to treat you with. Don't expect to see it advertised on TV and expect him to write an Rx for it. Won't happen. He has a dry sense of humor however and a visit to him can be quite entertaining. He will spend whatever time he needs to with you to answer your questions and his staff is top rate. Would not change doctors for anything. Been with him for 20+ years now.

Dr. Gottlieb is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He listens to my concerns and is very thorough during my visits. If you're looking for a warm and fuzzy doctor, he ain't it! He is however, very knowledgeable and compassionate. I can give a rat's behind about his bedside manner. He knows what he's doing and that's what I care about. He has called me on many occasions on the weekend to discuss my care. He's a keeper for me!!

Dr. Alan Gottlieb is a great doctor , very intelligent, and compassionate. I have seen this first hand, I have worked for him for several years . I have heard and seen people thank him for changing there life and helping them get there lives back. I have also seen people get upset because of there diagnosis, they don't want to accept what he's telling them . Please do not judge him, based on these reviews ! Dr. Gottlieb see's 200 plus new patients a year! He is one of the best , in my opinion and experience with working with other doctors. I am honored to say that I work for him and Laureate Medical Group.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gottlieb's for 17 years. He has managed my arthritis very effectively. He is always concerned about my overall well being. He is very thorough during my office visits and is easy to talk to about any issues. I enjoy seeing his nursing staff each time that I visit the office - very friendly. I often hear from people that they would never know I had arthritis and I attribute that to his excellent level of care and management of my symptoms. I am very fortunate to have found him and highly recommend him to others.
