I too was very excited to see this doctor. I had seen other doctors within the practice and felt very trusting going to see him. Big mistake. I found him to be rude, Dismissive and abrasive. I had been experiencing extreme fatigue and had several tests that had come back indicative that something was happening but my doctors were unclear what. I had an extraordinary High CRP inflammation number. Although my symptoms were obviously baffling to some doctors the fact that arthritis was starting to strongly affect me was simple fact. The doctor was shown my x-rays that showed I had a complete deterioration of my right elbow and needed an elbow replacement. He was so Brusque during the initial conversation that when he left the room I actually broke down in tears. I completely regreted it being there. I tried to disguise the fact that I have been crying when he came in the room but he seem to notice and softened in his approach a little bit. He gave me a brief exam and left the room again. When he returned he basically told me that I was a white female over 40 who is overweight. In nearly as many words he told me that if it were not for the unexplainable to generation of my right elbow that he would simply dismiss me. Since he couldn't dismiss me he simply said that he had no idea what was happening. He did not refer me to anyone else. I left there broken and disheartened. I have since received several accurate diagnosis and continue in my quest for wellness.

I have never been treated more horribly by a doctor in my life. He was completely dismissive of all my symtoms. And when I asked him why he was dismissing all of my DOCUMENTED health concerns, he told me I was being confrontational and that I needed to leave because he couldn't help me. I am so completely disappointed.

I have been a patient of Dr Gottlieb's for several years. Great people, great care and I've never waited more than 10 minutes beyond my appointment time. Typically they are right on time. When you have a chronic disease and have to make regular trips to the doctor, it gets very tiresome to have to consistently wait. I really appreciate their respect of my time.

I was seen by Dr. Alan J. Gottlieb (Rheumatology and Internal Medicine) at the Laureate Medical Group in Jonesboro, Ga today. It was the best experience I've ever had during an initial exam. Dr. Gottlieb was extremely thorough and he actually performed the pre-examination questions, and entered them in the computer himself. He was very specific with his questions and ensured that he had clarity with my answers. He had excellent rapport, was very personable and I enjoyed his sense of humor.
The entire experience was the most efficient process performed by the friendliest most helpful staff, from the moment of check-in, through the examination, labs, x-rays, to the checkout process. I would highly recommend Dr. Gottlieb to my family and friends, as a matter of fact I did just that today.

This doctor is a horror show. Avoid him like plague. Very rude. He told me to find another doctor when I asked to get blood test done elsewhere. He also forgets that he prescribed the meds. Total loser.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gottlieb's since the mid 1980's when I first moved here, first as a primary care doctor, but now also as a trusted rheumatologist. What I love most about him is his accuracy in diagnosing my health issues and getting them resolved quickly.

Even when I go there with a pre-conceived diagnosis of my own, he accurately assesses my symtoms and puts me on the road to recovery. I'v read reviews that critize his bedside manner. Great bedside manner cannot either heal or make you better. He demonstrates his compassion & caring by getting you well and keeping you that way. I love this man!!

After reading the comments of others, I was very apprehensive in seeing this doctor in August but I made the appointment anyway and when I went for my first visit I was ready for him. I wasn't going to take a bad attitude from a physician. I even took the reviews that preceeded my visit. Well my first visit went fine, I showed him the reviews and told him I didn't want a physician who was rude, etc. I decided to wait and see how my second visit went before commenting here. On my second visit I found he continued to treat me with
respect and was courteous, far from being rude as mentioned earlier. He is very thorough and I felt he cared about my condition. I have no complaints, however, I will continue to evaluate him as he evaluates me and will post again.

I bless the day my orthopedic surgeon referred me to Dr. Gottlieb. He is a wonderful healer - kind, compassionate, empathetic - and, he LISTENS! He always makes me feel as though he has all the time in the world to spend with me, even though I know he has a busy practice. He never talks down to me and has a great dry sense of humor.
