This surgeon saved my dads life! He was always kind, courteous and professional. When the surgery resulted in a hernia, he was quick to get him back in to repair it, even though it was elective at best. No issues. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This guy is a fraudster, did a "sham surgery" on me, opened me up and caused scar tissue for a placebo effect apparently. No bedside manner when I awoke feeling exactly the same, offered me a "better quality of life" after seeing looping in my upper intestine. I still live with the exact same thing yet he charged the health system whatever he wanted to. Corporate lies, covering for another hack's mistake. Problem will be solved when I die. Hippocratic Oath is a joke to many of these goblins.

Dr. Ciona performed surgery on me twice to put tracks in to help get rid of my fistulas. Both surgeries were failures. Both times the fistulas got bigger and more aggressive. His bed side manor was a joke. He told me I could return to work the next day when I could barely walk. His only solution was to dab the wounds with silver nitrate (which is very painful). And when the fistulas remained, he stopped booking appointments for me and told me that they would close up, shrink and heal on their own. They obviously didn't. And now his staff won't return my calls. My gastroenterologist has even admitted that his methods were all epic failures and that he is a joke of a doctor, I won't be returning to see Dr. Ciona (not that I could if I wanted to, his staff mysteriously ignores me). And I would advise anyone who is told to go see him to book with another doctor instead.

Dr Ciona saved my life! I went into the hospital with severe abdominal pain 3 years ago. I was only 32 yrs old. He was able to quickly determine I had a rare cecal volvulus (the part between my small and large intestine twisted) and whisked me off to surgery. Usually outcomes from these type of complete volvulus' are not good with a guaranteed death rate if it is not treated. He did an emergency resection, and 3 yrs later I am doing very well. Thank you Dr Ciona!

So Dr Ciona did my Surgery hopefully he did it well the problem I have he didn’t listen to me about pain management and sent me home with the wrong meds hence I am currently at the hospital my advice listen to your patience especially since they have a medical experience and know there body

I met Dr. Ciona in the ER. He found a tumor in my small bowel. He was so kind and patient and explained everything to me and my family and sat with us until all our questions were answered. 3.5 years later I needed my gallbladder out and I wanted him to do it, again so kind and patient and both surgeries went without any extra problems.

Dr Ciona has been my surgeon for 1.5 years now (3 surgeries) of all the docs i have seen in my 55 years, he is the kindest Doc i ever had. He explains everything, what to expect after surgery, risks, very knowledgeable and professional.
