Dr Lees saved my preemie son's life in 1984 with bowel perforation surgery and an ileostomy. So friendly and great doctor.

Doctor Gordon Lees provide both diagnosis and surgical intervention on my gastric tumour. He was the most caring and professional doctor I have ever met and I genuinely feel that he is the best example of what all doctor should aspire to become. I cannot say enough good things about the man that has not already been said in these reviews. I probably owe him my life; and my future (along with my kids futures since they were not alive Pre-surgery) to him. I think the world of this man and I agree that he is the best surgeon / doctor in Alberta.

In 1993 I got in a car accident in Yellowknife NWT. I was dying and got medicated to Edmonton where Dr.Lees performed an emergency whipples procedure on me! He saved my life as a 17 year old boy. I’m now 44 years old with a 17 year old son and nieces and nephews. This man crosses my mind lots on holidays and when I look at my son! This man saved my life me I am forever grateful to him.

I worked with Dr. Lees for many years , and when one of my children was an infant he needed a bowel resection. Dr. Lees saved his life. I can only say that his knowledge , stamina, and surgical skills have set the bar EXTREMELY high. He may have had the highest surgical time in the city, but he’d also do his O.R. cases all through the night on many a night. He will continue to be so missed by everyone, but I can’t think of any other person that deserves a wonderful retirement. !!

The best doctor I've ever met very kind knowledgeable reassuring and when I went to see him I was in complete stress not knowing what the future holds with the infection from my last doctor's for surgeries he not only repaired it but clarified it and suggested a good GP for me my life is never been the same since thank you Doctor lease and all your staff and U of A Hospital

Just a fabulous Dr. Really knows his stuff and has a fantastic bedside manner. He removed our daughters gallbladder at age 14. Cannot say enough good things about this Dr. I hope he has a fabulous retirement. Well deserved.
