Dr Cagiannos found and removed a cancerous tumour in a short time span. Everything went very well and he explained the whole presidure before hand. I returned to his office for eight years to ensure it didn’t return.

My father was seen by Dr Cagiannos as he had found a tumor in one of his kidney. Dr. Cagianno told him it was a slow growing type of cancer and there was no need to worry as they caught it early (without even doing a biopsy) said he didn't need to be operated quickly. He waited over 2 years to operate on my father to remove this tumor, and by that time, the cancer had dramatically grown. Although the operation went well and Dr Cagiannos assured my father that he had taken it all out, 6 months later, the cancer had spread everywhere and my father has now passed away. I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so in this case, as my father trusted this doctor 100% and followed his recommendations, even though we tried to get him to push to be operated sooner. His death could have possibly been avoided if he would have had the surgery sooner. While Dr Cagiannos may be an excellent doctor and an excellent surgeon and has saved many lives, in this case, his decisions regarding my father's treatment directly led to his death. I'm only writing this review in case other are found in a similar situation and may find this information helpful.

The best doctor we have ever seen. My mom came to Canada from Ukraine during the war and was diagnosed with angiolipoma. Doctor Cagiannos provided lots of details and information about this disease, as well as the potential risks and treatment plans. He spent time to make sure our understanding of this problem. He was so kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. This doctor is fantastic! We only wish him good health and be blessed! All the best to Dr. I.Cagiannos and his team. Entry into the Bladder Cancer world is not something anyone expects. However having Dr.Cagiannos onboard really made a big difference in my outlook and understanding of events that had to follow. Much had to do with his cheerful energy and openness to share the biomedical-technical details of the cancer I had and his strategy to combat the disease spread. Thus, through his guidance I was able to get into surgery swiftly and move on, in spite of covid challenges. He was a great confidence builder entering into surgery and no doubt his surgical skills enabled my recovery. Whatever happens next I am in a good frame of mine to accept any other challeges because of him. My compliments to Dr.Cagiannos' skills and knowledge and the great care/support I got from the Ottawa General Cancer Centre Day Surgery staff. In the 12hrs I was there I saw a lot of caring , they never stopped. I'm very proud of you all. Many thanks.

My husband and I were very impressed by Dr. I. Cagiannos and the medical staff at the Ottawa General Hospital. The laparoscopic surgery that Dr. Cagiannos performed to remove my husband’s kidney went extremely well. We found the process, from the initial diagnosis to the post op appointment, to be informative, approachable, supportive, efficient and professional. We highly recommend Dr. Cagiannos.

Dr. Cagiannos knows his stuff. I didn't like the news he gave me but I sure appreciated his professionalism. He deserves more than a five. He is better than the best.
