Dr. Cagiannos is the most compassionate and caring doctor I have ever been to in my 80 years of life. HE SAVED MY LIFE. I just think the world of him. A great man. Hearing the word cancer is never going to be easy. Hearing it when you had no idea that was going the be the prognosis is especially hard. Dr. Cagiannos and his team made the process easier by explaining what was going on, what the possibilities were, what my options were, etc. During my surgery and recover in hospital, he and his team were very attentive and accommodating. Now, 1 year later, I appreciate the continued concern and care as I work through my recovery and whatever the future holds.

Kidney cancer is a horrific and scary word. But Dr. Ilias Cagiannos in Ottawa General Hospital works wonders. Two days in the hospital (surgery) and you are back home and in front of your TV.

Most Surgeons have the label as being indifferent towards the 'person' inside their patients and appear to feel superior over everyone else. Not Dr. Cagiannos. He is caring, knowledgeable and a joy to know. Both Dr. Cagiannos and Vanessa make the trips to the hospital and the operating room as pleasant as possible. Thank you!
