Dr. Assemi is the nicest pediatrician we have ever seen for our daughter. This man is truly passionate with his profession. He as tonsof experience and has a very good way with kids. Every time we needed to see sim, he always takes the time to listen, even for advice, he takes the time. Once he retired, he will be greatly missed

Our son ha sbeen with Dr. Assemi since he was born and now he is 4. We generally think he is very experienced and knowledgeable, and deals with kids fiarly well. He is not originally from Canada that may explains somestimes he may appear "rude" however if you take time talking to him he turned out helpful. I agree with many above comments about the nurse - she was cold and not so friendly with kids. I am glad to see a new nurse recently.

My children's doctor since they were born, but we're desparately hunting for new doc. Missed my son's craniosyntosis completely. Now he's down to 3 days a week, impossible to see, and just charged me $60 for cancelling an appt saying "I was welcome to leave a message on their machine" even though I called the minute the office opened. 90% of the time I end up with my children at the walk in clinics.

Dr. Assemi has been my childrens' doctor since birth. He is Knowledgeable and courteous and on time. We rarely have to wait. His assistant although not outgoing is very helpful and can usually fit us in last minute if I need to bring the kids in.

I didn't want to give my child the chicken pox vaccine and he on at least 3 visits afterwards repeatly spoke to me in an insulting manner bringing it up again and again. Clearly he thought I was a horrible mother not to do it. Opinionated and won't let you politely decline. And on general conserns unwilling to listen. THEN one time he insisted he needed to give my son a vaccine that I knew he had already had! He said it wasn't written in his file. I went home an confirmed he had indeed had it. HE TRIED TO GIVE HIM THE VACCINE TWICE! I mean is he helping or hurting? I'm desperately looking for someone else.

Dr. Assemi is a very rude and unhelpful doctor. I found him to be insulting and not willing to discuss concerns I had about my child. As a previous rater stated, his nurse is quite rude and unhelpful. We had such a bad experience that we immediately went in search of a new doctor for our child - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!

Dr. Assemi doesn't say much at all but my main purpose for commenting is his "staff" person. If you've been there you know who I mean! She's the rudest "woman" I've ever met. Good luck to anyone having to deal with her. Myself I am looking for more a civilized staff + a more pleasant doctor elsewhere.

Dr. Assemi is a great general pediatrician, but make sure if you're worried about your child to ask detailed questions.
