This Dr. seemed more interested in sharing opinions than listening to me speak about my problems. Seemed to love listening to their own talking. It is my impression that Dr. P does not practice listening skills or empathy in their work.

I was at the end of my rope when I went to visit her. I was holding out for a bit of hope. Now I feel suicidal.

Cold, uninquisitive, doesn't really explore the problem space. If you come in with a diagnosis and knowing what you want to try and are willing to carry the conversation, maybe, otherwise not helpful beyond ability to prescribe. Always on time, sessions are short. Doesn't seem like a bad person, just really not a good match.

I found her extremely opinionated and judgmental. She does not even take the time to listen, but tends to interrupt while I am speaking. Even her office is set up so that you feel belittled and intimidated - she sits behind a tall, massive desk totally walled off from me.

This is the worst dr. I have ever had. She interfered with my personal life and told me I was a mess and only she could help me. I was berated for having an opinion and intimidated si much I felt hopeless. The medication she gave me almost killed me and I landed in the hospital several times after falling, not knowing where I was sometimes and thinking I had dementia since my memory was so compromised. When the hospital took me off the meds and I stopped hallucinating and falling down, I got better quickly. Please do not go to dr. PYTLAK for your own safety

Takes her bad day out on patients. Pushes her religion on patients. Has no interest in therapy (I don't think she has the capability honestly), just pushes drug after drug with no interest in delving deeper. Very antiquated views and despite constantly being unavailable often apparently for conferences, her knowledge of newer psychiatric concepts is lacking.

She can be a decent psychiatrist and sometimes express empathy when she's having a good day, but if another patient frustrates her she ends up just attacking you the entire appointment. As someone with a trauma background, it's not fun to have to be meek and mild and grey rock someone you're coming to that's supposed to help you feel more comfortable and learn techniques for dealing with the consequences of having parents like that. I think she might have some disorders of her own if a mild frustration can make her attack someone she has power over like that.

Overall if you want a drug, she'll prescribe anything you ask. But don't expect to feel safe or heard. Opening up to her is dangerous because when she's in a bad mood she'll use those things against you (not in a constructive way) so I'd try to keep things light and just tell her your answers to the 3 monotone questions she'll ask (how is your mood, how is your sleep, are you eating well), get your drugs and leave.

Good parking across the street though.

She has her daughter working at her office and present during sessions with patients, which is extremely unethical.

I have only been for one session and I’m very confident on where this will go. I have seen so many therapists, psychologists, specialists and I have never left my first session with such hope. I look forward to reviewing again after a few months of psychotherapy and adjustments to my medications.

Dr. Hanna Pytlak is a supreme psychiatrist, and she combines it with such empathy, compassion and tolerance. I had been to many psychiatrists with very little advance. Thanks to her my life has metamorphosed from insufferable to constantly secure.
Dr. Pytlak is including nutritional treatment along with suggesting cutting-edge therapy. She
comprehend a blood test and prescribes only what is needed.

She is truly kind and giving.

Without her, I'm not sure where I'd be.
