Terrible. Doesnt give any room to elaborate on anything. Continuously talked over me every chance i got. Kept telling me that i was only trying to get a diagnosis for attention. I also got looked at by a previous doctor to get notes for him which took about 45 minutes, and when it was over and i went to speak to Dr. K, he hadn't read over any of it.

Isn't much help. Lack of compassion and understanding. Told me before that I was seeking attention for being mentally ill. Doesn't provide a safe space to talk, he comes off a bit aggressive if you say the wrong thing or accidentally speak over him. Nothing personal but these qualities should be worked on if he continues in this feild with sensitive minds who need compassion and help.

Dr K has been nothing but incredible for me and the issues I have with my mental health. I have seen another psychiatrist at Lakeridge Oshawa a few years ago who I did not have a good experience with AT ALL, which left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Dr K has completely changed my outlook on psychiatry through patience, understanding, a bit of tough love, and compassion. I truly feel he has my best interests at heart. There was not even a word of prescribing medication until a few appointments of assessment to make sure he was treating my issues correctly. He takes the time to listen, provide advice and support, and is thorough in his assessments. He is not a pill pusher, he has provided me many external resources to help with my healing and encourages lifestyle changes and technique as a way of therapy for the issues I am dealing with. I have never felt inadequate, belittled, ignored, or misunderstood in the hands of Dr K. His receptionist is very friendly too and always greets with a smile. In the time that I have seen Dr K my health has done nothing but improve! Thank you Dr K!

I’ve been with Dr. K for almost 4 years. I’ve seen other doctors at the hospital too but Dr. K is my favourite and I’ll tell you why. Psychiatrists are trained to see through BS, (I swear) I began seeing Dr. K when I was an inpatient. He not only has been a key contributor to my healing but has made me thankful that he is my Dr. I’d describe Dr. K as extremely honest, sometimes a bit blunt but has good intentions as his job is to only help his patients heal. It took me many outpatient visits to fully open up to him about my childhood but once I did he was understanding, never judgemental, and never sympathetic but always empathetic. After all, what makes a good doc is empathy. The last four years of recovery would not have been possible without him, I am truly thankful to have him as a doctor.

Dr. K. is a truly amazing psychiatrist! Extremely kind, supportive, non judgmental and intuitive. He helped me immensely during a very difficult time. I feel so grateful to have been referred to him.

Rude doctor racist has no respect to patient I've waited for 8 hrs and then he will just throw you like a trash
