I can certainly understand why he may come off as rude, even passive aggressive to some. I find him to be an amazing psychiatrist, I appreciate how direct he is and feel it’s crucial as a psychiatrist.
Very rude and not very empathetic. Shocking to deal with a psychiatrist that makes you feel worse than when you got to the appointment.
He claimed I was lying about being suicidal and refused to admit me, I asked for help and was turned away with no help or resources. This doctor should not be working in this field.
Terrible experience with Dr K twice I went to him when I was in a crisis and he completely ignored my requests. Was very cold and mocked me for being IN crisis. I was unable to receive adequate care . He's very mean and very obtuse . Not a good doctor for people who are suffering from mental illness
Dr K. is a most compassionate, caring, empathetic human being who truly cares about each and every one of his patients. I've been going to him since 2019, and he still remembers everything I told him on that first visit. He truly listens and cares to help improve the health of his patients. When prescribing meds, he ensures they're non addictive & they really match the correct condition. He thinks outside the box to help his patients with their real life problems &teaches them how to be able to continue to improve using real life skills, not just meds. I am truly blessed to have gotten him for my psychiatrist. God bless him because it's very rare to find a psychiatrist who loves what he does and who truly cares about the well being of his patients the way Dr K does!
HE IS A MAN WHO HAS GREAT COMPASSION. HE IS WELL VERSED IN VARIOUS MEDICAL TOPICS. HAS A BROAD BASE ON WHICH TO DRAW EXAMPLES.
As a new patient, I felt very rushed during my assessment. Dr. Khachatryan lacked empathy, insight & professionalism. His bedside manner was poor, and it felt like he was talking down to me. For a role where communication, active listening, and compassion are vital, he was lacking in all areas. If you can see another psychiatrist, please do so.
A few times I saw this doctor and invalidated me and said that I am medication seeking, love being inpatient at the hospital because I used to go there a lot. Told me I would act on the things I was struggling about so I got discharged from the ER. He also talked to me about other patients in the office during my appointment. Told also that if I wanted to start a family I had to tell him a min. year in advance. Also told me that a narcotic was the safest medication I was on. Since last seeing him I got off all of my mental health medication all by myself. Also this doctor said one thing to me and then to my partner told them that he didn't say what I heard and understand. Said I just want attention and not in the right mind to even understand what he told me.
Saw my daughter who was sent to stay at his hospital by another md for a very serious reason. After talking to her for less than 10 minutes he discharged her and sent her off with a stronger prescription of the same meds that caused her initial visit. There Is NO HELP Here!!
