Would You Like Some Skin With That? Nestle’s Coffee Creamer Served by Naked Baristas

A Youtube posting showing coffee being served by models painted from head-to-toe in body paint in a Manhattan coffee shop has gone viral in less than a week.

Wonder why?

The on-line video is a new commercial for Nestle’s natural coffee creamer, Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss All-Natural Coffee Creamer, a product that was originally launched in 2011 and apparently might need a boost in sales.

The video features surprised customers being served their morning coffee in Natural Bliss Café, a trendy Lower East Side neighbourhood. The ‘baristas’ are painted to look as though they are in jeans and tank tops but are really nude, providing Au-Naturel Service.

Confused and curious customers inquire about the new fashion statement only to learn about the creamer the café uses, which is just as simple as the servers outfits.

Nestle’s Natural Bliss All-Natural Coffee Creamer has taken a new road for coffee creamers and is made of all natural ingredients and no preservatives.

Such is not the case with all coffee creamers.

Some regular creamers, including Nestle’s own Coffee Mate can contain elements related to dairy like casein, trans-fats and even dangerously flammable ingredients.

Mythbusters proved that non-dairy creamer is capable of igniting an explosion because it contains sodium aluminosilicate, a substance that keeps the creamy powder from clumping. The famous show  packed a large amount of powdered creamer into a cannon at some point and lit it, successfully setting off a massive fireball.

Thankfully coffee creamer is not effectively combustible in small amounts and putting a couple of spoonfuls of the stuff into our mouths each morning is apparently harmless.

According to Fox News, Nestle’s Natural Bliss All-Natural Coffee Creamer has a few flavours and each contains just five ingredients including milk, cream, sugar, salt and natural flavors.

It might be just as easy to add some sugar and some cream to your coffee, I say, and cut out the plastic, not-so-natural waste from buying the Coffee Mate in its container but then I guess you’d miss out on the ‘natural flavors’.

And the chance to fantasize about your coffee being served to you by a naked, painted model with blue boobs.
