Tanning

Sun damage is the No. 1 cause of wrinkles, with tanning being particularly harmful.

Always use sunscreen when you’re under the sun, and in all other times – even when it’s cloudy! – you should apply a moisturizer with SPF to help keep your skin protected from harmful UV rays.

Eating too much sugar

A high-sugar diet isn’t only bad for your health, it’s bad for your skin. Eating ample amounts of sugar damages the collagen and elastin in your skin, resulting in wrinkles and dry and loose skin.

Being too thin or heavy

Your weight doesn’t just affect appearance, but how your appearance changes, too. Being underweight limits the natural fats in your facial structure, while being overweight leads to poor muscle tone, among many other health problems.

Both ends of the spectrum result in aging quickly.

Being antisocial

Studies suggest that being a part of a supportive social network can ease the aging process. Being antisocial means you’re missing out on all the health benefits associated with friendships and relationships.

Using a cheap pillowcase

Every night your delicate facial skin spends seven to nine hours pressed against your pillowcase.

Cheap cotton cases can restrict your skin from smoothly moving. Opt for a higher thread count or silk pillowcase for a better night’s rest. Or, your beauty sleep!
