12 months ago I was in extreme pain. Dr Tim Small carried out a double knee replacement on me. All I can say is “Bloody FANTASTIC “ surgeon and result. I would highly recommend Tim. His staff are also amazing. Thank you one and all.

After emergency ankle surgery in Canberra I had to find a surgeon in Sydney for my follow on treatment. Through word of mouth I found Dr Small. He has been great and we have had a good outcome from my follow on surgery to remove scar tissue. He stayed focused on getting the best possible result and getting me back running, Also Cynthia is a breath of fresh air in the office and very helpful thank you all for looking after me highly recommended.

I wish I could give Dr Tim Small 6 stars. Absolutely phenomenal result with my total right knee replacement. I’ve never me a surgeon so focused on my well being and getting the best possible result which I did. 7 weeks after my surgery and totally pain free. Thanks to Cynthia at reception whom nothing is too much trouble. A great team and highly recommended!

I had bilateral Knee replacements in September 2023 at St Vincents Private Hospital. Dr Small was very realaistic as to my recovery from the beginning . I had pain block drips in both of my thighs after surgery that kept the pain at bay for the first four days after that i was ok just with the pain killers the wonderful nurses gave me.
I was up & walking ( with a frame) within a couple of days.
I had so much trust in Dr Small for this operation as I had been in pain for a couple of years.
I reccomend him to anyone contemplating knee surgery as you wont be dissapointed.

Tim Small is an exellent doctor , I had a femur distal osteotomy. Dr Small explained everything on laymans terms every time he saw me as a patient on the ward or as an outpatient. Dr Small is very friendly and put me at ease knowing that i was with a person of great knowledge and expertise. He answered whatever question i had calmly without being pressed for time. I walk so much better and straighter now.
I would reccomend Dr Small to anyone having problems with their legs.

Firstly to Tim, I cannot thankyou enough for giving me back my mobility and quality of life. At age 45 I was diagnosed with servere osteoarthritis in my right hip. I was suffering constant pain, inflammation, walked with a limp due to 13MM leg length difference. I lost trust in my body, was unable to lead the active pre-osteoarthritis life I lived of tennis, hiking and circling. 7 weeks post surgery I feel like me again, I walk limp free as Tim balanced out my leg length to be equal. I feel structurally strong in my right hip, trust it and my body is back in alignment. The precision of my prosthetic is evident when I view my x-rays.
From the first encounter with Tim you know your in the good hands with very experienced surgeon. He makes you feel reassured, provides quality care and is motivated to get you back to achieving your lifestyle.
Big thanks to Tims team, St Vincents nurses and physio's who support you in your recovery, they are world class.

Shuffling into the consultation room of Dr Small, I was greeted with warmth and humour. As we discussed my hip replacement, I was confident that I had made the right decision to choose Dr Small. The operation was a great success with very little discomfort. Dr. Small made regular visits whilst I was in hospital and subsequently in rehab. I am delighted with the results and have a new lease of life in my pain free mobility. I would like to thank Claire and Emma for their competence and friendliness at front of house.

I am a middle aged lady with multiple chronic conditions. Dr Small still took me on with a smile and a laugh to give me a new left knee. He instantly put me at ease but was honest that my rehab could be a little challenging with my conditions but the result is fantastic, much better than I could have hoped. My pain has gone and at 11 weeks post surgery I am better than new!

I'm a 74 female that had a hip replacement done by Dr Small , six weeks ago.
He is an incredible surgeon with not only the expertise in his field, but an absolute delight to deal with.
If I ever have to have my other hip operated, I will have no doubts in using his services again.
Not only I can walk normally now with no pain, but he also fixed the difference in length in my leg.
His office manager Cynthia is also great, very knowledgeable and easy to deal with.
Dr Small is truly remarkable and I would recommend him to anyone who needs surgery without any hesitation.

Dr Small performed a hip replacement on my sister Rosemary.
He is the consummate professional, personable and has a lovely manner.
The surgery has been life changing for her. Rosemary would highly recommend him to anyone and will have him perform other necessary surgeries for her. You can't really ask for a better recommendation than someone who will go back to the same surgeon again willingly!
