I had left foot surgery in December,2021
From what I have been told , he misdiagnosed my foot problem. He said it was dystonia(toes lay horizontally not vertically). He kept lying to me that all the toes would be vertically . Well that is not true as my toe next to the big toe, has never laid down vertically in fact it is curled (causing me to trip when that that toe raises a cord laying on the floor. I still have an abundance of swelling still around the ankle bone, and tingling all over the foot always. I got fixed with a brace that my neurologist ordered to get my right side of that left foot to lay down. But i cannot wear it because it causes more swelling and tingling in that left foot. So come winter I will have to have ANOTHER surgery to pull that toe that is next to the big toe, down .
Also, on my very last post op visit with my husband right by my side, he said I had PRkinsin's disease!!! Well I told my neurologist that two weeks later and he was APPALLED that Dr.Mangone said that and he said Mangine is wrong, that I DONOT have Parkinson's disease. He is very arrogant and will NOT admit it when he is WRONG.

Dr. Mangone performed an ankle replacement surgery on my right foot. My foot was so painful and unstable that I could barely walk before the surgery. This surgery transformed my life. I have no pain in the foot and it is stable. I can trust that ankle now. Dr. Mangone did a terrific job. Physical therapists who worked with me after the surgery said they couldn't believe the range of motion I was getting with my artificial ankle. My pain level was zero after the surgery and I did not take medications. I especially appreciate Dr. Mangone's attention to details. He leaves no stone unturned in his preparations before surgery. I was called back to my local imaging center for more X-rays because Dr. Mangone wanted more views of the leg to get the correct alignments. I am a very satisfied patient and will go to no other foot and ankle specialist for any future problems with my other foot.

I am 70 years old and had total ankle replacement in late May 2014. The experience was so much better that I had hoped it would be. The ankle felt better almost immediately after surgery. The recovery process is going well and I am thrilled to see for the first time in over 20 years that when I walk, my foot points straight ahead, and not angled to the outside as it has done forever. Dr. Mangone did a masterful job of alignment of the artificial joint.
My incisions are healing so well that it is hard to see them. I have not had to take any pain meds from day 3 post surgery. I am delighted with the results. Thank you Dr. Mangone, Jennifer and staff.

I am 44 years old and had bunion surgery on Nov. 22nd, 2013. I heard all kinds of horror stories BUT my experience was far from a horror story. Dr. Mangone's P.A. Jennifer apologized for my wait on our initial visit. She expressed it was NOT typical practice. She was genuine. I was impressed. Everything from that point forward was exceptional. The surgery itself, healing time and expectations were thoroughly covered. I must admit I went into this thinking I would do EVERYTHING Dr. Mangone instructed and give myself the best benefit of the surgery. I became the model patient. Truthfully, if you are going to have surgery, do it with an experienced doctor and follow doctors orders. I have a beautiful foot now FREE of pain. I am 3 months out and was released to go back to normal activities. I am able to wear a low heel with NO discomfort. I don't have pain waking me up anymore at night. I can't thank Dr. Mangone enough for giving me my life back. I HIGHLY recommend him.

I had a surgical procedure by Dr. Peter Mangone in November 2007. He fused the first joint of both my great toes. I have more problems now then before the surgery. If I'm walking on my feet for more then a couple of hours, the pain is almost unbearable. My right toe was reattached askew, so the nail is turned towards the second digit and the tip of the toe is awkwardly tilted down, which is probably where most my pain is coming from. I've lost the feeling of touch in both toes. The post surgical scars are like deep troughs. When my feet get cold, the toes above the incision site turn blue, indicating the blood supply was not preserved as much as possible. I'm writing this review to save anyone else the pain and regret I've received. I strongly would NOT RECOMMEND Dr. Peter Mangone!
