Dr. MacSween assessed my child for autism on the recommendation of her pediatrician after many years of treatment for anxiety and depression. I was not convinced but Dr. MacSween has a great understanding of how autism presents in girls. She was right after all and we have been able to understand our child and her challenges in a different way. Fabulous experience overall.

Dr. MacSween has assessed two of my children and one is currently under her care in hospital. She connects well with kids and parents and is very caring and professional. Willing to go the distance to make sure kids get what they need.

Doctor Mcsween is very nice. Shes the first poerson who tried to figure out why I was feeling bad and didnt just give me more meds. I would recomend her.

Dr MacSween's empathy (for both my child and me) really made a difficult admission much less painful. I never felt "blamed" for my child's mental illness. Her professionalism and intelligence made us feel well taken care of. Highest recommendation.

When I was her patient, Dr, MacSween wrote in my chart I was falsifying my symptoms of OCD and was completely dismissive of my struggles. Now, 3 doctors have confirmed my diagnosis and I have been in the hospital for treatment several times. Not to say that this happens with every case of hers, because I do not know, but this set back my treatment years because I was left doubting whether my mental health issues were valid and if I was "sick" enough to be deserving help. The mental turmoil this has caused me is inexcusable. Doctors need to listen when patients are telling them something!

We had a good experience with Dr. MacSween. She met us early during our child’s inpatient admission and kept in contact as much as necessary. She was open, empathetic, and honest. Our child liked her too!
