Personable, professional, compassionate, as well as humble. Gives credit to his entire team. He was thorough with his explanation of my diagnosis, surgery, and treatment at a level that I easily understood. Nena went over everything to make sure I understood the protocols for both the surgery, as well as the follow up home care. Dr Peiris surrounds himself with like minded colleagues that went above and beyond to walk along side me in a difficult journey. I consider myself lucky and extremely blessed to be a patient of this incredible person.

Dr. Lashan Peiris is a brilliant oncoplastic surgeon who is not only incredibly skilled and meticulous, but he is also very knowledgeable, passionate, caring and has an impeccable bedside manner.
He took the time to explain everything clearly to us and listened patiently and answered all our questions.
It was amazing Dr. Peiris was able to coordinate with Dr. Charlene Barnes so that both the prophylactic salpingo-oophorectomy and the double mastectomy could be done at the same time.
We definitely trusted Dr. Peiris completely.
The surgeries went incredibly well and I healed up beautifully with no dog ears and all:)
Additionally, his assistant Nina was very helpful and caring.
I would highly recommend Dr. Peiris for breast cancer surgery.
We are blessed to have him move to Edmonton from England.

Dr. Peiris went above and beyond to treat a tumour in my breast. When a second surgery was needed he made a special trip to the hospital on a Friday afternoon just for me. His care and knowledge are second to none and I feel so very lucky to have him as my surgeon. Thanks to Nena who is so kind and caring and efficient in the office. Its much appreciated.

I was referred to Dr. Peiris in Jan 2020 for my cancer treatment options leading upto breast mastectomy and immediate reconstruction (with Dr. Schembrie) in early April 2020. The entire experience was excellent and I am really pleased with the results. Dr. Peiris is very passionate, extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain all the options for the surgery. Additionally, his assistant Nina was very helpful, sympathetic, and caring as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Peiris and his staff for breast surgery. Thank you! My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2018. Dr Peiris preformed 3 lumpectomys all with great care and incredible skill. She came back today from her appointment with the all clear!!!

Dr. Peiris performed an amazing lumpectomy and reconstruction for me. I was astonished with the initial results. My husband and I are extremely thankful to have met him on my difficult journey. He is a gentleman, very professional, knowledgable, more than capable with excellent skills and impeccable bed side manners. He takes the time to explain the process and cares about forming patient-doctor relationships.
