Dr. Kaufer provided exceptional care for both my parents, who suffered from very different types of dementia. Thanks to Dr. Kaufer's accurate assessments, my father was taken off medications that had been prescribed by another neurologist and put him on different medications that better controlled behavioral problems without masking his personality and without keeping him in a zoned-out stupor. This allowed us to care for my father at home so my parents could live together for his last 5 years of life. Dr. Kaufer took the time to find out the critical details of the situation at home by listening and asking the right questions. We were never rushed out of appointments, but he would address any concerns we had. He was respectful to my mother-talking to her directly instead of about her during visits. Both my parents enjoyed the visits to Dr. Kaufer and I left feeling they were receiving the best care possible. There is no comparison to Dr. Kaufer--he REALLY cares about his patients.
